Saw a rig just like that posted on mud classifieds 2 years ago out of C'ville, but never saw that rig in town. Very nice.

I mean I took the pictures so I have the plate number but I feel like that's an unnecessary level of creeping.

Stephen. Buddy of mine. Last name withheld to protect the innocent. Not sure if it sees dirt or not.

Dirt or no dirt, it's a beautiful truck. I knew when I saw it that, at the very least, somebody on Mud probably knew the person.

I work at Orvis downtown Roanoke and constantly see different rigs pass through downtown. not so much on classic older cruisers, but lots of 80s and 100s (and older jeeps and defenders) Roanoke has a decent amount of classic Toyotas (both cruisers and mini trucks/runners) but just no real organization to them.

I'm in the middle of switching careers so everything is a little unstable at the moment. That being said, I will probably still do some camping and I'd love to do a little wheeling in the coming months. I'm open to locations for both. I want to run Potts but I'd prefer to have another vehicle with me since I haven't been there before. Getting stuck on the trail all by my lonesome doesn't sound like a good idea...but I can only keep the voices in my head at bay for so long...
Potts is a fantastic trail. I'll be running it within the next few months and will certainly post up here about it. I did it in my xtra cab crawler years ago with no lockers. 35s, 5.29s, SAS'd xtra cab

Great thread and glad I can find my local Noke peeps. I'm from the Roanoke area and currently living in the Grandin area and generally hang out with @1428Mike (but I don't tell many people) so hit us up when its wheeling time. Just throwing this out to my fellow LC family that if you are moving to the area or moving around the area then let me know...I'm a Realtor and it would be awesome working with ya. 540-312-9202. Cant wait to go wheeling with all of ya!
I'm on the back side of Patrick Henry high school (the "county" side) and constantly swing through grandin!

We need to plan a local meet-n-greet. I've seen several 80's around town and I'm noticing more cruisers of other series as well. Fair number of 100's and 200's, the occasional 60.

We need to do one soon. We can make a list of possible dates and who wants to meet up. once we get a head count we can figure out where we can have it.
March 27-28
April 10-11

I'm good with either of those dates, as of now. I'll post up if something changes. FWIW I work pretty standard hours so after 5PM would be preferable if we're shooting for a Friday. If it's a Saturday then I'm more flexible.

Both dates look good. @mwalls54 is near the lake, @1428Mike is off Brambleton towards Floyd. I am near Patrick Henry in Raleigh Court.

Working on the 28th, not sure about April yet.

What do we want to do? cookout on a friday or saturday evening? Or restaurant? I have a picnic shelter at my place and can have a fire pit going with plenty of parking.
