I have a dead mouse somewhere in my heater in my 94. Is there an easy access to vacuum it out or am I gonna have to pull the dash off and take the heater core housing out? I'm about to gag trying to drive this thing. I'm working on it all day today so any advice would be great. Thanks.

If there's a mouse in there then you will want good access anyway because there will be all kinds of droppings and nests that you are gonna want to vacuum out. I would start under the dash and see what all you can get. Also the rear heater under the console might be a good place to look. Don't forget behind the radio, I had a nest back there from when the previous owner parked in a barn. Mice had peed and pooped on the top of the radio. Pretty gross.

You can drop out the AC box and check the heater box and blower motor that way. You will have to discharge your AC though.

To drop the AC box you only need to take out the glove box.

Found the little devil. Dropped the heater blower and turned the fresh intake on. Boom, there's the little devil. Nest, mouse, poop n all. ;)

Just a little tip, I assume the 80 is ducted like the mini trucks, which I recently completely re-assembled with all new foam and gaskets. If you park the truck with the fresh/recirc damper set to "Recirculate", this flips the damper up and blocks off the air intake for the HVAC, they can't get in that way any more.

Another tip I just learned: mice hate dryer sheets. Stuff a few behind the dash, they'll stay out of there if they do manage to gain access.

I'm gonna try this. Thank you for the tip
