I have an FJ-60 with an ARB Roofrack. I am planning on mounting my Hi-lift Jack as well as a shovel and axe to the rack. I also want to be able to mount a set of steel sand ladders. Does anyone have any experience with ARB's jack/shovel mounts? Does anyone recommend another mounting system to be used with ARB Roofrack? Search seems to show most people like quick fist systems. I am open to them, but looking for other alternatives. Thanks in advance.

Here is what I did.

Dan,

What did you use for mounting hardware?

The High lift is held on with 1/2" bolts welded onto the frame and nuts. I use nyloc wing nuts to secure it.

The shovel and the axe are heavy duty conduit/pipe brackets welded onto the frame. I use a metal strap with nylock nuts to secure them in place.

Fist grips work great for about two years and then the runbber detiriorates and they crack and brake. You generally find this out when one of your buddies pickes up your shovel or axe off the trail behind you.

Hi lift can be secured with a couple of Ubolts.

Rovers north has mounts for sand ladders, and they sell sand ladders as well.
I couldn't find them on the website, but they are in the catalog.
