jake, from the pics your maglite will be twice the size of the cruiser......

Yah maglights are old and all but they can hurt someone if you hit them in the back of the head!!! No surefire light is going to nock someone out! hahahaa

PMK (Pat K.) uses those (white) PVC pipe repair fittings, they have a threaded open end cap and a rubber O ring type gasket or something inside... any how, he uses said fitting clamped to his roll cage bar, one each side. Very sweet set up, holds the mag lite firm yet quietly, which slides completely through the fitting.

KCPD was banned from carrying them years ago....for that very reason. Commonly referred to a "Ni&&er Knockers" Some carried the 6 "D" cell variety

mine is mounted to the under side lip of the dash under the glove box next to the heater duct (duct may be differant in the US spec 40's)

monted with genuine MAG clips.....think they were $15AUD for the pair off Mr Snap On

Your mag lites on the wrong side

Mag Lights are soooooooooooooooooooooooo 1980's :D

get a Surefire G2, its small, bright, can hold it in your mouth(when working on rig) Or even a Streamlight Poly Stinger.....rechargable and a nice light.

maybe even a LED of some sort.

didnt' even know they still sold mag lights ;)

I had a surefire. Not sure what model but it was bright as s***. The batteries didn't last long and they are $$$. I guess you could go rechargeable? But I heard the rechargeable aren't as bright.

I found this flash light on the side of the road, Its called a TerraLux, its really a rechargeable led work light, the one I found had the hanger on top broke off, but it is by far one of the coolest flashlights I have ever seen, It has 60 led's and it will definitely light it up. Perfect for under the hood work, and a charge lasts a really long time. Its really light weight so Im going to mount it like mentioned earlier with a piece of pvc capped at one end.

those maglite clips are junk, they will break in time....

I've had good luck using them like this...as for flashlights, I'll cast my vote for Surefire. Spendy, but you gets what you pays for!
