Motor randomly shutting off (1 Viewer)

Hey there 82 22r Cali smog vehicle randomly shuts down if it happens while under load it hiccups quickly if you are at idle it dies (if you are still rolling you can drop the clutch while in gear and bump starts right back up) seems like an electric thing but dont have any clue where to begin and what would cause this, any ideas?

I had something like that happen with my 1982. It was the fuel filter.

The other time it did something like this was when the hot air diaphragm on the intake snorkel stuck open. This caused hot air off the exhaust manifold to get sucked up full time.

turned out igniter was goin out
