Focus on the Journey
I bought an engine out of an '87 FJ60 as a spare engine for my '78 FJ40. I noticed that the motor mounts are larger than the ones in my '78. Are the larger motor mounts the ones I should use and are there any issues with installing them on my '78 frame. I plan on using the right and left motor mount brackets (so I can mount the A/C compressor). Are there any issues with using the '87 motor mount brackets on a '78 FJ40 frame. Can someone explain why Toyota went to the larger style of motor mounts in both the 40 and 60 series with the 2F in 8/80.
