Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

This one on BaT went for lower than I expected; really an oddity in the market pricing. 2013, 171K, $21,500. Wholesale was 20-26K estimated, so dealer must not have made much margin. Good deal, and I think where prices are reasonable. VIN: JTMHY7AJ9D4019690 JTMHY7AJ9D4019690

Anyone here with Manheim access that would so kind as to pull the latest numbers? Curious to see what low mileage 200's (talking 20k miles or less) are bringing on wholesale? I'm entertaining the idea of selling but my first offer was only $81k. If that's all I can expect from a dealer I will go the private party or BaT route. I truthfully don't want to sell but could use the cash here and now.

Thanks for sharing. The market for these things is just all over the place. Sounds like the dealer that appraised mine is playing by the book but when you go look at Heritage Editions for sale nationwide right now with less than 20k miles the lowest ask is this one at $95k which is built out and we all know built trucks bring less than stock ones. 2020 Toyota Land Cruiser Heritage Edition - https://www.503motoringsales.com/vehicle-details/2020-toyota-land-cruiser-heritage-edition-suv-25cd6e70a5054f7fba0ecfdb737c1e30

All of the others are at RMR where you have to play the "call for price" game and I highly advise you are sitting down when you make that phone call.

Sometimes I wonder who (probably) overpays for a HE, dumps that amount of aftermarket offroad crap, drives for 10kmiles and cashes a huge financial loss selling to a dealer that probably nailed them with a lowball offer. Man, and that auto-retractable sidestep? WTH! Perfect for mall-crawling adventures and zero rocker panel protection. :bang:

Based on my observations from CarGuru for the last 4 months, HEs with less than 20k miles have sold for 87k-93k. Most with 12-18k miles sell within 24 hours when priced 87-89k. I missed out on one in Georgia that had 7k miles for 92.5k that sold the same day it was listed. Carmax has a 2021 HE with 22k miles they have had at 92k for several months. What are the specs on the one you are trying to sell?

*Considering to sell* It’s a ‘21, 2 row in silver. Completely stock. Nearing 16k miles.

Plus I feel like some of these are "written-off" as shop promo vehicles, so a certain subset doesn't really care about the loss. I am not an accountant and I still think it economically does not make sense, but it is thought process.
A lot of folks buying a LC 200 new can afford to lose $20k cash in a year on a vehicle.

Looks like you are from Atlanta. I’d say focus your search in the south for a southern car. If you were up north a bit of rust might be acceptable, it will happen eventually no matter how much fluidfilm or equivalent you apply. Being from the south though the worst thing you can do is buy a rusty one and bring it here, unless the discount in price is substantial. Plenty of HEs in Texas and Arizona, Cali, etc. not saying they are cheap, but deals are out there. Patience is the name of the game.

Looking at a '21 LX white/black with 25k miles at $70k, most of the recent prices on here have been for LCs, don't know a good price. Also not sure if this rust is too bad?

Rust looks minimal/normal to me - mostly superficial. The painted area can be brushed and repainted easily. I live in Houston and have a couple 200’s and an 100. They all have small amounts of rust.

For a ‘21 it looks more than normal. Was it a northern car?

The rust is minimal IMO. I would definitely hit with some fluid film or like product as soon as possible and the annually. I have found living in a road salt state, it helps but requires frequent undercarriage cleanings and reapplications of film
Price wise I don’t know LX’s as well as LC’s but given prices lately it sounds fair
