For Sale Most recent 200 Series purchase prices

Rust looks minimal/normal to me - mostly superficial. The painted area can be brushed and repainted easily. I live in Houston and have a couple 200’s and an 100. They all have small amounts of rust.

For a ‘21 it looks more than normal. Was it a northern car?

The rust is minimal IMO. I would definitely hit with some fluid film or like product as soon as possible and the annually. I have found living in a road salt state, it helps but requires frequent undercarriage cleanings and reapplications of film
Price wise I don’t know LX’s as well as LC’s but given prices lately it sounds fair

That looks about normal for a 3 year old northern vehicle. I live in the north and I would pass on something like that if I was bringing it into the rust belt. But if I lived where I knew it wouldn't get worse, I'd be fine with it. For me, it's much easier to keep the rust at bay when I start with zero. That level of rust, albeit minimal, would grow pretty quick up here.

Rust free, one owner, very good to excellent condition, and all maintenance up to date and completed by the selling dealer. According to the Lexus owners website, not a single service was missed. Most were completed early due to the low miles it was driven.

I've booked my airfare and I should be picking it up on Monday. I know it's not a great deal but I feel it's fair with all things considered. Living in the northeast, I'm at a bit of a disadvantage when it comes to scoring smoking deals on rust free cruisers. When i find one that checks almost every box and is a fair price, I really can't complain. The only box it didn't check is that I would prefer a 2015 over 2013 just for the simple fact that it's 2 years newer. The dealer has been excellent to deal with up to this point so that's a bit plus as well. Only concerns I have when I get there is if I can see any evidence of valley plate leaks or cam tower leaks.

Well, maybe too good to be true. Evidence of cam tower leak on both sides. Not dripping but the engine isn’t dry either.

No pictures but it’s not as bad as I originally thought. I can find a small spot of oil residue on the front of the engine on both sides but not even close to being a drip. It hasn’t made it very far down. Maybe valve cover leak?
They did replace the alternator and drive belt recently, not sure if that would trigger any oil residue.

At the dealership still so trying to see if they will reduce the price a bit.

I’ve been maintaining helicopters for 25 years, every drip is an issue for me unfortunately.

This leak isn’t even hitting the heat shields yet so minimal at best.

Maybe a slight valve cover leak? I agree to your point about wanting strictly no leaks or issues, but I think that's well outside of scope of what issue a dealer would work with you on or the average buyer would press.
