Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

Heard it was sold already last week
As of tonight, it's still listed on Autotrader and Cars. However, someone who is not budget-conscious will probably pay their price. If you want a green one, there are almost no options. My main complaint with it is the "call for price" game. I think they should just put their price out there and avoid the time wasting.

Couple of options I’m considering if anyone has an opinion/advice. I have a budget of 65k all in for a 200 series. Ideally would like a blue with terra and black headliner, less than 100k miles but know those are few and far. A local dealer has a 2019, less than 80k miles Texas truck for $58k plus tax and blue with black interior. The other option is a private sale 2016 115k miles black on black. Some surface rust, spent some time in MO. Seller wants 44.5k. I am getting a pre buy inspection on this one as it’s out of state. Both very clean interior and have good maintenance records which I pulled from Toyota, CarFax. I’m leaning towards my color preference, blue option but do like the amount of $$ I could put towards a 80/100 series or upgrades to the LC if I went with the black/out of state option. The 2016 has money owned on it, I’m bringing cash to the table and unfamiliar with private sale process. Been looking it up in the web but still a n00b so it makes me a bit uneasy.

Would love everyone’s feedback on this 2016 with 119k. Dealership is asking $44k and won’t negotiate. Truck has been on their lot 153 days.

Test drove it and it’s super smooth. Undercarriage is clean, not even surface rust. Carfax shows 3 minor accidents but in-person there’s no visible evidence.

No dealerships appear to negotiate on the 200 series

lol, I almost bought that, but the gauge screen is cracked, windshield wipers need to be clocked (they whistle on the highway), someone stole the volume knobs from the rear controls (test drove in Feb then came back in March with wife and they were missing), water and moisture in both rear taillights, bad wear on outside of tires, tint peeling, hasn’t been clean since December 2023 (mud caked into KDSS valves). If it goes down closer to 40k might be worth it, but they would not wiggle at all (I offered them 45k back in February and now almost May and it is under 45k now)

Has anyone looked at any of these that are for sale?

2019 Toyota Land Cruiser w/ Carpet Mat Package listed for $64,980

Yes I went out there yesterday and have a mobile pre inspection heading there this AM. It dropped from 64k to 58k but they added “dealer fees” back into the overall price. Seems clean, there are signs of oil leak on the skid but assuming it’s from oils changes.

Cool, keep us posted!

Link to the actual dealership if anyone is in the area.

Good to know. Glad I asked about it.

They told me they’re gonna send it to auction by the weekend if it doesn’t sell. I think since March they’ve cleaned it up fairly well. I got underneath the truck and didn’t see any caked on mud and there’s no visible rust. All that aside, I think I’ll pass based on the carfax and smaller things you mentioned. Also didn’t see moisture in the tail lights, so maybe they fixed that?

I went there yesterday (4/24/2024 @ noon) and it was not clean, all what I stated was present, FYI.

There are so many dealerships that are willing to do that

That’s wild, I was there around 430. Maybe they tried cleaning it up? They had said someone else checked it out earlier in the day. Haha, small world. Thank you for the notes above cause I was seriously considering it. I’m a novice when it comes to mechanical things though, so this is a learning experience for sure 🤙🏼

I didn’t even notice the wipers whistling or the uneven tread wear. Real curious where the truck will pop up after auction.

Just a heads up to anyone looking at this 2015 LX in the Dallas area. The cam towers are leaking. I checked it out yesterday and while it looked really good, I got a glimpse of oil and took it to the local Lexus dealer for further inspection. They confirmed it was leaking from both sides. I’m not sure if the seller is getting it fixed but it has been pulled from their site. Honestly, they were decent to deal with and I don’t think they knew about it. I’m not trying to bash the selling dealer at all, just want to give folks a heads up in case they happen to look at it.

Any update on how the inspection went?
