Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

Holy Smokes! 52k miles a year.
He filled up 1500 times
He spent $120k in fuel alone
(160k if he lived in CA)
I believe he fills up 150 times a year. 1500 times a year would be 3 times a day. Probably off by a decimal point. Fuel cost would have been $12K as well.

my message read: 52k miles a year.
He filled up 1500 times (separate sentence, hence not tied into per year.. its the actual total times over his ownership)
Although with his miles, I am sure he filled up 3 times in one day often!
I towed my FJ40 to The Rubicon trail from SoCal, and filled up 3 times in the day.. 9 mpg.
My chevron card tagged my 3rd fill up as fraud.. lol

Assuming 12MPG, it's about 1200 lifetime fillups. Say 24 gallons every time, $4/gallon (average figure for CA since January 2017) that's $115,200.

Crazy

So, I'm confused. They posted a video showing off the truck 5+ days ago..but it's for sale now? They talk in the video like the had it for years and years but only had it since May 2023? I think I hate the Internet.

They're taking a lot of heat for it and can come across as #influencers. Posted about the truck after they already sold it. Supposedly they listed on FB Marketplace for a brief time but never got anyone serious and got the dealer offer even to about what they had in to it ($20k buy + $17k mods according to them). Supposedly trading for a Ram + 4Wheel Camper platform, and getting a vintage LC on the side.

For thread topic, will be curious if anyone ponies up $37k for a 360k mile rig, I think it's a tough sell. More than twice what an 08-11 with that mileage would fetch.

They are good influencers because they influenced me not to buy that 360k rig for 37k...

Ah ok, sorry. I thought the whole post was for a year's worth of fuel.

I figure this is a good a place to ask as any: I’m looking at a 2018 LX with like 42k on it and the seller won’t go below $58k. Should I hold out for something like $55k or less? It’s basically exactly what I’m looking for and I can’t find annyrhing local without red or white interior. Also, it’s missing the last 10k miles of service records but he claims it has new brakes and tires. Shouldn’t be anything to worry about, right?

If it’s exactly what you’re looking for who cares about $3k? It’s ~5% of the purchase price.

In my defense, this is 4x the price of the most expensive car I’ve ever bought.
Exactly. In a world of overinflated prices for everything, $3k off the top is a big deal. That can cover oil and other fluid changes over the next 3-5 years.

Everyone that is currently holding a bag is just hoping that some sucker comes along at just the right time so that they aren't still holding the bag when the music stops.

Fairly certain that’s the case here. He’s the original owner and still owes on it. He also said he won’t budge on the price and will just keep driving it if he can’t get it.
In my case I’m just being impatient, I’m on the brink of selling my only vehicle that I’ve owned and built for 8 years. I’ll probably just wait a few weeks and snag something with 30k more miles for $10k less.

Just wait and you will get your price for around the same miles.

Sellers always say if I don’t get that price I will just keep driving it. Most buckle and if they drive it they devalue more as time goes on. Peoples finances and life also change. Not saying you do this on the LX but 3k is about how much KINGS cost all the way around.
