Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

To me it looks like this is obviously fraudulent with all the AI generated videos and photos.

Now for the creative stuff.

Original dealer website is down and this new one was put up a few days ago. I tried calling the number on the google maps and no one answered.

Some things dont add up like:
-Car getting serviced on the 10/31 and showing up here on the 11/4 in different states.
-The Porsche listed is actually grey not red.
-The Porsche and Mustang are listed as a automatic but both are manual.

OK dealer registrations does not check out as well.

Is Carfax that easy to spoof or more likely they gained access to the dealers login.

Speaking to the photos - they look plenty real. They are just shot with a nice, large sensor camera (plus a drone) and have some heavy post processing (plus ideal lighting, compared to most dealership’s snapshots).

Edit: Did you try calling the number on the Carfax site or their new website, and not from Google maps? A quick look at their digital presence and it looks like they've recently put in a big push on the marketing side, compared to their old facebook page. If somebody left the company who held the keys to their old FB page, old website, and their Google "My Business" account, that information is difficult to update and it's easier to start fresh.

A lot of things have to line up for this to be an outright scam. And to what gain? A few dollars from blind deposits from out-of-town prospects?

Double edit: if you call the number on the website - they'll pick up the phone ;)

That listing is just a copy paste of this BaT listing. But the VIN is different. So it might just be a dealer with an actual 2020 Land Cruiser being super lazy?

You beat me to it but I was about to say the same thing. I remember this one going on BaT earlier in the year. (The photos, not the same truck due to the VIN discrepancies.)

Guess I was right about the photos being real, and very wrong about everything else :dead: good catch @SledDogRacing. Most of their listings are stolen from BAT, such as the red Porsche mentioned by sleddog - Link to BAT, versus link to the dealership
The photos got me with the large aperture effects and great photography. Makes it look placed.

The Porsche is trying to be sold here. Shares photo of some service with the vin number that is used for that red Porsche. No way to align the vin on that grey car and that paper but is seems more real.

These people probably gained access to the dealers info and built everything around it. Probably why it aligned so well on the surface and on the more creative side scams I have ever seen. Anyways it is exposed and no need to carry on with it!

FYI: Nissan Armada 2023 brand new base trim AWD/4WD (same as LC) have now dropped to $43K! this year is the last year they make V8, and I am waiting until the last second to snatch a good deal! It is 99% made in Japan so I feel confident + there will be no repairs needed in first 10-15 years!
Those are excellent. Check out the YouTube channel Automotive Press, he had a very favorable piece on the V8 Armada and its Japanese build quality. The styling isn't my favorite, though I think you are right that you can get a long and trouble free life out of it.

I posted this over in the 200 series tech forum. One of the guys suggested I post here as well.
I have been a Land Cruiser fan a long time. All totaled up I have owned six of them. Currently still have three (1972, 1988, 2004). All with higher miles. I have always wanted a 200 series, drove a 2011 with 175,000 miles on it in March and it was solid, drove great, but had a little wear and tear on the interior. I decided to pass on it.
Just this weekend I found a 2011 LC with only 28,791 miles on it. Seems crazy , but it is true. I went and checked it out. Drove it, crawled underneath it, took a flashlight to the engine bay, and printed out a carfax report. It all checks out. It's in great shape inside and out.
They are asking $47k. Am I crazy for considering this? Is the asking price too high for a 12 year old car? I am mostly looking to check my sanity. It doesn't seem too out of wack in my brain, but is my brain just desensitized to the cost of these vehicles?
Any input would be welcome.

Pic of my other Land Cruisers for attention.

That's a nice collection of Cruisers. I have to wonder why you drive around with a telephone pole in your 40 Series, though. ???
Just kidding, that's an enviable stable. And a great picture, too.

Slightly off topic but what-the-hell is going on with this LX570 "F Sport"? That was never a factory option... did some dealer get creative to jack up the price? Either way not interested in this one being from ohio and the mention of anti-rust coating but thought it was very interesting and can't find any mention of any kind of 570 F sport package anywhere else.

I doubt it was a dealer. More likely someone in the chain of ownership added some side skirts and badges and now the current owner is confused. Or even more likely, the current owner did it and is misrepresenting the vehicle. I've never seen an F Sport LX570, or an F Sport model of another Lexus that didn't have trim specific interior.

Looks like "badge" engineering to me.

These things are getting cheaper than late model 100s. Is this the new norm? I haven't really been following the market too closely lately.

Obviously I don't know anything about these beyond the ad - rust, maintenance etc.

But 25K for an '08 with 130K miles

and 25K for an '09 with 150K miles

And the cheapest 200 I think I've ever seen:
$19,900 for an '09 with 305K miles

Makes me want to build a 200!

I reached out to him- he purchased the kit from Lexus (allegedly) and had it installed. He has the original parts, though I would expect the tinting to be tough (possible?) to remove. If he were closer I may consider it, but I haven't run the carfax or checked Lexus service to see records. Seems like a nice enough guy if anyone is interested. For the work needed to get the original parts back on, I'd be trying closer to $26 than $29.
