Let’s try this again, prior thread deleted, I assume they want to keep it clean, there was no explation given.

If you have sold a 100 series recently and want to share what you paid with details on truck this will be helpful for potential buyers currently looking.

This thread can be helpful for buyers looking to understand the market and different factors that come into play on pricing.

Please stay on topic!

I recently sold 2004 LX with 176k for 12,500. Truck was 9/10 on condition with full service records. Southern Vehicle no rust.

Agreed.

With patience there's some fair deals out there -fwiw, last month I paid $18k for a '99 with 58K miles in SoCal - it belonged to the seller's father who'd recently passed on. Paint is sunburned (dash is too), but otherwise all dealer maintained. Seemed like a fair price, given the current market insanity. Changed out the heater T's and hoses, threw on a dash mat and now have to decide whether to give it to the wife (requires a paint correction) or use it myself for Baja expeditions...

That's a much better deal than the 06 with 530k, in my opinion. How does the leather look in your 99?

Seat leather initially looked fine, but almost immediately started splitting once being sat on. Too bad it's so fragile.
As comparison, my 93 Chevy Blazer's interior is bulletproof, the sun's UV doesn't seem to make much impact on the dash or the cloth seating material.

Wondering if you all could provide input on fair pricing for a one owner 99 LC in very good condition aesthetically and mechanically with all recommended maintenance performed by Toyota. 155k miles. Brakes, fluids, filters, timing belt and water pump done at 150k. Garage kept. Everything works. I’ve looked around a little and I have found a relatively large range for this vehicle. Colorado vehicle so no rust. Thanks in advance for your input.

hmmmm 12-14K in this market if truck doesnt need anything

I just bought a 2006, 215K miles, 3 owners no accidents, TB/WP done at 187K. Price $15,000

It needed a couple things, O2 sensors, driver seat cover, and total baselining of fluids. Random stuff like condensation in fog light, TPMS light on, and rock chips on hood.

Minimal rust, very clean for a vehicle that's been in this area its whole life. I thought it was a great value in this market, truck drives exceptionally well and has the Lexus OEM windshield. Everything works, antenna mast was replaced by dealer.

If it is clean as you say and really doesn’t need much of anything, I wouldn’t be surprised to see this bring north of $15k right now. A good place to see the top end of the market for a comparable sale is Bringatrailer.com. In my opinion, it’s worth it to pay a little premium if you KNOW FOR SURE that you’ve got a one-owner that’s always been dealer maintained AND the previous owner actually did all of the recommended services.

Paid 6700, limited surface rust, 99 w rear locker, NV car, new tires and brakes and valve covers, recent timing belt, aftermarket rack. Interior pretty clean with splitting leather. View attachment 2763319

Awesome score! This is exactly what I'm looking for, but everything is 13-15 in Central Texas. I would even pay 13k if it was baselined and clean

Sold my clean, stock, 06 with 205,000 miles in two days for full asking of 22k. Already miss it, but have a stock white one with 115,000 that I’m looking forward to getting to know.

That's good money on your part, the market might calm down a little once the chip shortage catches up and newer cars roll out. I'm looking forward to Toyota's 2023 4runner, hope we get a turbo motor with a little more umph.

Hey guys,

Looking for a little direction, and this looks like the right place to ask.

Considering selling my LC in the next few months, and looking for a range from guys who know the market better than I currently do.

2003 LC w/ 225k
Galactic grey
Upgrades worth mentioning:
ARB front bumper with warn 12k
Slee rear with tire/ladder/fuel carrier
Slee sliders
Slee battery tray with marine HD battery
Slee 2nd battery tray
Slee diff drop
OME (ARB) heavy full suspension
Doug Thorley high exit exhaust
Newer 34" toyo OC AT2's (5)

Maintenance is up to par except the Timing belt/water pump is due for a PM replacement in the future.

Last TB/WP/ belts was around 120k done in my possession, by Toyota.

New OEM brake rotors and pads, front wheel bearings, and brand new steering rack replaced close to 200k.

Plugs and all fluids changed around 50k miles ago with full Amsoil

Only replacement I've done other than preventative maintenance was a oem starter pry around 160k

Clean, no accident, southern truck.
I've owned it for 10+ years, runs like a top.

There are a few minor things I need to address before listing, just trying to gauge a ballpark.

Thank you fellas

Probably going to unload my 100.

just gauging for a reasonable market price. 2001 Texas truck. 200k. Paint on hood has the clear coat peel. Random dings and scratches. 5k miles on KO2 285. Zero rust on the truck. Interior 7/10 because cracking in front seats.
Been baselined recently. Need to get the timing belt and water pump done in the near future. New shocks. New coil packs.
Basically seeing if this is worth 10-11 like to think. Maybe not though.

I'd list it at 14-16. Make sure you list on Autotrader or some other national site, and not just facebook or craigslist.

Thinking of selling my 2002 that just turned 70k miles. Very nice truck 9.9 paint, 9.5 interior. Thunder Cloud with gray leather. Low miles but lived in Michigan so their is a little crust especially on the rear differential. I have treated and mitigated it so it has never been an issue for me. New 285/75/16's, upgraded exhaust, beautiful inside and out. I have several LC's and thinking of selling one or two to fund a new sports car purchase.

Any ideas what the market will bear on something this rare and special?

Need a value opinion…went of the hunt for a u100…found the following but it’s a neighbor so trying to come up with a value:

1999 U100 2nd owner / no wrecks / stock condition.
-new exhaust / 175k miles
-no service records but recent dealer service with TB and water pump service at 152k

-running boards are deleted and it’s on 285-75-16 BFGs I think

-has some minor bubble rust in a few spots but underneath is good…NC car 18 out of 21 yrs. int is a 9/10 and nice original leather

Value in today’s market?
