Received my front seat replacements from Mosley Motors today. Still waiting on the second row leather, before getting it installed.

First impressions… Damnnnn!! This is nice 😮😮‼️

My original leather is 20ish years old so I can’t say with complete certainty, but this kit from Mosley seems MUCH nicer than stock. It’s thick and soft leather. Slightly darker I think, but they include EVERYTHING- armrests, headrests, center console, leather for door inserts that match the seats. So I’m expecting everything to look factory but a bit nicer once installed.

I am super impressed with the quality and will post up pics once I get it professionally installed.

Rob has been a nice guy to deal with. I would recommend this kit 100% 👍👍

Cost breakdown:
Mosley Kit: 1,575 (roughly)
New drivers seat foam: 300 (roughly)
Install price: 700-800 (estimated)

So… by no means cheap, but the way I explained it to my wife is that the average F150 payment is $919/mo. So for every month I keep the ole 100 and enjoy, we’re saving a ton of money and it makes sense to put some money back into it as needed. We’d be crazy not to do this, babe! 🤣

I applaud your logic !!
I'll keep an eye out for the results pic's.
You know if you make it too nice she's going to want to take it for herself right ;-{ lol

Can't wait to see it finished! Big project but it will make a huge difference sure 😊. Smiles per mile going up

How closely does it match the factory ivory leather interior color? Is there anyway you can take a side by side picture of the OEM and Mosley seat bottom leather right next to each other? I've been trying to get a sample swatch from Mosley with no luck.

Here it is a piece draped on the bottom seat and held up next to the seat back. Seat bottom looks pretty damn close imo. Seat back has some more light on it and it looks a bit darker to me. Hope this helps!

Is that their dark brown interior or ivory? The color on their site looks noticeably lighter.

New leather getting installed Monday! Here are the before pics. Nothing too terrible except the drivers seat bottom and (imo) the arm rests. But I think my need for colors and patterns to match have resulted in me choosing to have the first two rows done.

Remind me, Mosely doesn't accommodate side/seat airbags, right?
Edit: Answering my own question: Yes, Mosley's seats are airbag compatible.

Definitely curious what they look like after the install and how well they hold up. My driver's seat is ready for a reupholster.

Looks like they offer seat coolers as well – $100 addition.

Is it $100? I should’ve jumped on that. I think I remember it being 800 or so. I read some ppl didn’t like it because of the way the foam is on that seat bottom to accommodate cooling. Idk though.

Glad to see another install from this vendor. I've been eyeing them as well, specifically with the ventilated seat option. Looking forward to seeing how you like them once they've been put in!

In my experience, Mosley will ghost you once you order.

There is so much stuff that has to get crammed in to the seat back for the cooler that the back covers no longer fit on without you CLEARLY being able to feel all the aforementioned stuff that's jammed in there whenever you sit in the seat.

I haven't put a ton of time into it, but I think I'm going to have to make custom seat backs. I've asked them for suggestions twice (because they said they've had it installed on the 100 series, and they sell the dang kit...) with zero response. Little dissapointing after dropping that much money on something. In fact, lemme reach back out to them again and ask. I'll update here if I get anything back.

Also, I'm 100% certain that the air distribution pad that you cut the foam away for makes the seat nearly uncomfortable to sit in for long drives. I can definitely feel it. I'd suggest trying to make multiple channels in the original foam itself - which is how factory cooled seats do it IIRC. I may eventually order new (expensive) foam and do this now that I've cut my original seat foam up.

So far, my experience with Mosley has been great. I had an issue with a no reply, but I did get a phone call from them once they realized it.

The seat issue, from what you're discribing @LJE came up for me in my research of the seat coolers, which is why I didn't add them. I believe the kit is from a company called road wire that was acquired by katzkin. Mosely is a distributer, not the producers of the kit. So while I feel your complaints are valid, they're probably seeing your messages and thinking, "uhhh what can we tell this guy about a design issue for something we didn't design or produce?" Did you install yourself or pay to have the kit professionally installed?

You are correct that it's a kit from Katzkin/Gentherm (which I'm pretty sure is where the leather comes from as well IIRC).

I did install the kits myself when I reupholstered the two front seats (did the middle row as well without the seat coolers). While I absolutely agree that Mosley Motors aren't the folks who designed these, they are the ones that sold them to me specifically for use in a 100 Series, after posting here that they'd had them installed on a 100 series.
An easy "hey, FYI, if you spend the extra money on these you won't be able to install your seatbacks if you follow Katzkin's instructions" on the webpage would have been ideal, or even an acknowledgement that it's an issue. I definitely don't expect step-by-step instructions, but if there's some weird 100-specific challenges that would be great to know up front.

Seat Coolers - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/seat-coolers.1082951/post-11846770 is the post where @FJ60Cam talks about having it setup in a 100 series - so I assume that they either solved the issue in some way I haven't figured out, or he's rolling with no/custom seat backs. I guess I'd just like to know the answer... There's definitely far less room in the back of a 100 series seat than the 80 series seat that's documented in that thread - I think mostly due to the adjustable lumbar support.

I do have to say the leather quality itself is outstanding - beyond pleased with that! A year later and it's still looking great (which is better than what those with Lseat/Ridies have reported IIRC). It's just that I can't recommend the seat coolers without further info that I haven't be able to find (and I wouldn't suggest installing the air distro pad). I'd absolutely love if I could brag on my cooled seats without the '....but' disclaimer afterwards, hahah.

On a side note, the gray color doesn't match the LX factory gray leather well IMO - I've gotten used to it & I know it's a rarer color than the ivory interior, but just a FYSA for those with gray interiors.
