Morning guys,

I’m about to put a turbo kit on my 3B (BJ60) and have been looking for a gauge pack solution. The Mosley is a perfect fit for my taste but I was hoping to pick your guys’ brains regarding which gauge to put where. In the photos published by Mosley people seemed to have opted to delete the RPM gauge and place the EGT in its place. Is this the General consent? RPM gauge is there most expendable?

My setup idea is to leave the RPM in the Center and replace the water temperature with there EGT gauge.

Thoughts?

On a stick shift- the tachometer is the most important gauge in my book. I think it deserves to be front center as it is.
EGT is important too for turbos, but I’d still want RPM front/center in my vehicle

yeah that's kind of how I saw it too .. I must admit i didn't think about the fact that Mosley's pic may be from an automatic .. at which point the RPM gauge may not play the same role but I got a stick too .. so, would you replace oil temp or water temp with EGT?

Water temperature is super critical. Most vehicles don’t have oil temperature gauges.

So I just realized I was out to lunch looking at the Mosley picture . .there never was a oil temperature gauge .. it's oil pressure .. so, water temp, Volts, oil pressure and boost are in the four pack .. sounds like a sensible cluster .. the question of RPM vs. EGT has been answered .. RPM .. so, where to put EGT .. external or can one of the four pack be sacrificed .. once boost is set, do I need to monitor it constantly? or does boost even really matter if the water temp and EGT temp stay within limits?

I guess you figured I'm trying to not have additional external gauges if possible ..

I suppose another option would be for a digital read-out someplace else for the alternator / battery output .. and throw the EGT into the four pack .. (if possible, stll have to check with Mosley) ..

You can hear RPM if you know how to remotely drive a stick shift and have hearing in your ears. Expendable.

***Mandatory*** for a 3B with a turbo: Boost, EGT, water temp.

If I had a 3b and added a turbo, I would want every possible guage to monitor temps and the like. Do these gauges have options for alerts?

Coolant
Egt
Boost
Oil temp (backup to coolant)
Oil pressure
RPM (I always like this but you can go without. Can be helpful to figure out boost/temp issues)
