Here's a couple of pics I got of the property this weekend. I drove the Smurf out there and brought the boys with me. Perry was already working on the pavilion when I got there.
We got the roof on the pavilion and went out looking around. Most of what I ran around on was probably a 3 or a 4. There's a lot more dirt here, so it'll be intersting when it's wet - like it was this weekend. Randy tells me the other pasture is more like the old property where most of the easier stuff is. I didn't make it over there as I ventilated one of my tires. There's plenty of trails for everyone. :bounce:

I rode around the "back 40" with Shane, there is something for everyone. Creeks, dirt roads, mild rocks, medium rocks, buggy rocks, whatever you want. Stock vehicle could drive around and never get scratched, if you haven't made your plans, you have no excuse!

Best of all, forecast for that week is mid 60's to high 70's with lows in the 40's....sunny, no mention of rain.

Here's what is in one of the other pastures:

40's Rock, Did Shain take you on the bypass loop from the dirt road over to the backside camp exit? It was the trail that is mainly marked with yellow ribbon that is fairly easy other than the "gatekeeper" right as you come out of the rocks. It is pictures 11-14 from above with the gatekeeper being picture 14. I helped Shain lay this one out a couple of weeks ago as a 1-2 trail to get back to camp on and then have spent the last couple of weeks trying to trim all the trees and brush off so as not to scratch up your vehicle too bad. I am not a big fan of the scratches. My wife calls it being anal.

JasonH:

Did you catch a rock or a tree stump to ruin your tire?

James

Tree stump. I knew it was there but my hardtop window was leaning against a tree and Perry and I were trying like hell to keep it from busting.

THose look cool. Can't wait to get on them.

Guess it's a good thing the hardtops can come off for the event.

One less excuse!;p

Wow looks great! Its Really coming together nicely!!

This is still a "go anywhere" type of park like the old krocks, right?

I noticed you said there was a easier section, what levels, 2-3 ?
Any good trails for 60s and 80s that won't destroy too many body panels?

Yep, go anywhere, play on anything!! There is still too much uncharted area/trails to explore and lots of "scenic" routes with no chance of body damage.
Looking good and weather is looking great, definitely top off time.
I'm not sure which trail we were on, but that sounds like it challenges but no carnage

looks great. unfortunately for me i wont be able to make it this year, i simply do not have the money for the event much less fuel for the drive. hopefully when things get better i can make it down there one weekend this summer.

Smurf is looking great! Sorry about the tires......see you in a few.

BS! Smurf looks GAY with that top and doors...you should sell them.

Bet Jason wished he still had that hard top on at the later part of the Round-Up.

I wished I would have.

And ironically, I left mine on, and it made a HUGE difference.

Call it luck, or call it providence.

I ended up sleeping out the storm in the 40.:)

Well it sure was nice up until the storm. I was glad to have the top off until then. The boys and I rode out the rest of the storm in the Yukon after the tent got smashed.

I just got back from picking up my new tire. :bounce2:
