Well, I ripped out the entire interior of my FJ62 and got Dynamat Extreme laid everywhere. For getting the factory tar off the dry ice technique worked like a dream. It's kinda fun driving around with nothing but a driver's seat and seat belt in the interior.

I've looked at a bunch of other sound deadening threads and also soundeadenershowdown.com and couldn't be sure of one little detail. Does the CCF go between the Dynamat and the MLV, or does the CCF go between the MLV and the carpet? I'm pretty sure it goes between Dynamat and the MLV, but wanted to make sure.

The CCF goes between the dynamat and the MLV. The foam acts as a decoupler so the MLV doesn't vibrate at the same frequency as the dynamat.. or something like that. :) That way MLV can better block the sound.

Awesome, thanks for confirming!

after driving around with a naked interior you'll think you're in a modern vehicle once you get the dynamat and foam in! i just did this and it's an amazing difference. especially once the carpet and seats are back in!!
