>> deep fording? <<

What is that? The deepest river we have in the whole state is the Rio Grande and you can walk across it most of the year... make that *all* year.

I be a desert dweller -H-, They are for hot weather towing. When ya wanna "button up" the lenses go back on. ;)

Quality seems fine.. not much difference from the stock ones I took out, same goes for the corners too. I like them, but the upgrade is entirely cosmetic, so it's all about personal preference. Let me know if you need another picture.

I like! Me wants :D

Where did you get the clear running lights?

The non US clear marker lenses are not discontinued. I can get them easily. They are a direct match to the chrome trim on 91-94 models. They also fit 95+ the edge trim is a bit different on 95+ but hard to see. They list for $43.82 each. ;)

IIRC, the Lexus lens is a clear/orange combination.

About the wife thing. not to brag or anything, but mine bought the bumper for me for Xmas and then 4 months later bought the M12000 for my Bday :D :D :D. She thinks the 80 is the best. Hmmm did she get them for me or the 80 ???.
Cheers,
Sean

I need to dig out some pictures of an old Jeep of mine with water up to the doors on a trail by that very river up by Tesuque Pueblo...

Did you ever see the old REI parking lot in Albuquerque when it rained?

That's funny Sean. My wife doesn't like the fact that I spent so much on the bumper but she loves it. Keeps bugging me to lift it up. Now, she wants me to sell her car (which we never drive) and get another 80 series. Twist my arm honey...me reluctantly "I guess so". 4 Cruisers...sure honey no problem :D

My plan of converting her from a "Car person" to a "Cruiser chick" is working beautifully. (evil grin) 8)

Another 80 :D Beautiful!!!

I do have a spare set of
"#97 - License/Park 12v" & " #63 - License/PArk 6v"

Am i ok w/the #89..or should i swap it for one of my spare sets above??..or hunt down a #67?
I just dont want my lens's to melt..

Hey guys,

I'll be installing the ARB bumper this week. I'm curious as to why you are reinstalling the two hooks? It seems to protrude down quite low and the bumper already has shackle eyes. Just curious.

Ali

Well, first off I think the ARB is beefy as hell, but I do have doubts about the strength of those shackle eyes holding up to pulling from the side. The factory loops bolted right to the frame seem a more solid approach, IMO, I'd be devestated if my ARB were to get bent.

And I know they're low, but if I slam into a rock that's high enough to hit the tow hook, I've got bigger problems than a scratched hook. it's still about a foot higher than the bottom of the front diff, so anything that big I'll put under the tire, and not try to clear.. but my 80 is a daily driver, not a rock crawler, so I'm not that aggressive. heck I still have the running boards on (not for too much longer tho!)

I agree with you on the side pull thing. My ARB shackle eyes were bent from side pull too. I got tired of them hitting rocks, so I cut/grind/paint them off and installed new shackle brackets on the front of teh bumper. This is on a RR. The shackle eyes on the FJ sit much higher than the RR bumper.
