I think my data tag has both month and year for the tub and frame 6/72, the hard top is a 76 and fitting was required.

The tag on the A pillar was removed when painted last year and is missing.

Was anyone still chasing build date or vin numbers on hj47 Utes. In Australia and just got a very high numbered late model Ute. Did a deep search and seems to be the latest number and build I can find. Not even sure where to start with that or if anyone is interested in that. Can you help me or thoughts

I have gathered information from various sources and used some calculations to estimate the most probable birthday of an FJ40 (month, day, and year).

While I can't guarantee complete accuracy, I believe that my research and calculations are accurate to within a day or so. Because of fluctuation of production numbers and few other factors some months are more accurate than others.
