Thanks guys for encouraging me to go out, help and give advice on the trail. For my first time at Moab, I had a great time  . I look foward to going back sometime and nearly crap in my pants again  . I will look through the other pics to post when I get back home. Kinda :crybaby: to leave, but my heart can only take so much as an introduction (plus I gotta make a living to do this again).

Rudy

Rudy,

I'm amazed that your rear mud flaps are still intact!

And rear bumper. Do you have a hitch under there taking most of the beating?

I made it back in one piece. I had a really great weekend. It was a lot of fun wheeling with you guys, thanks for letting me 'tag" along.

Are you sure this is the trail?

Mike also said that.

Yes I do. You don't know how many times that hitch saved my bumper. I even knocked loose the tow points on it. If any of the guys heard the rear hit or drag, it was probably me.

Mark,

I didn't know trail leaders were "tag" alongs. Thanks for leading!

We did Hells Revenge on Friday, Poison Spider on Saturday, with Porcupine Rim and Fins on Sunday. Thursday and Monday were pretty much just travel days. Jon headed out to the Maze district this morning. He was not feeling well most of the trip but he only missed the run on Saturday. The weather held up great for the entire trip. Things were looking shaky for part of the time but the bad weather went North and South of Moab and all we got was a little wind. Those at KOA might say it was more than a "little" wind but they survived and we had no rain or snow and the trails were in perfect condition.

Good trip with a great group of guys!

More than a "little" wind? Screen doors and windows banging, the wind howling through the gaps of the cabin, the sand piles inside the cabin and losing sleep, know wonder you took a place in town! But you are are right, we survived :flipoff2: ! And we still made the runs.

Glad you all had a good time!
I hope to join you all on the next Moab trip.
All the weather you guys missed managed to make it here, had lots o rain, wind and some hail. Here is a pic of the hail at my place.

This is all I've got for tonight. What's wrong with trailer hitches?

Yeah, that's what I say. That's the best thing to use for rear end protection on the ledges. Even if you have a steel bumper, you'll still do the same thing!

What a great trip. I want to thank Mark for trail-leading for the weekend, and also Evan for pushing me to try the harder obstacles. Here are some more pics of the fun (note: they are really out of order):

I hear someone is going to be working on their AC system soon--to include a new AC dryer.....

Don't worry. Dan's got one in stock. U038 is its location. Upstairs by the other AC stuff.

The only carnage for the trip was my AC dryer. This is the rock that ate it:

Great trip guys! Thanks for posting all the great pics and the video of the AC drier carnage.

Let's do it again real soon. Next year will be the third annual HDC October Moab trip!

Evan

It took me a while to figure out how to embed this video so I hope you guys enjoy.

Great pics and happy birthday Rudy. What a great way to spend your birthday--new-to-you-truck, Moab, and turning 34. Priceless.
