Well - with all this tire talk going on I couldn't help myself....

Before:

After:

...and one more...

The ride is a little louder than it used to be - but I sure do like the way they look on there :D Any idea how much off the speedo is? First aftermarket mod on the FZJ (kinda hard when you have to choose which one to spend money on!) - but I think it was a good one....

Hey, those kind of look familiar!
They sure cleaned up nice.

Glad to know that they made the trip down there.

Kinda hard to see w/o lightening up the pics. You running stock height on your '93 Tucker? What was on there before - the std Michellin LTX?

Hmm, I looked at the before pic, then the after, back and again and forward again. What's the difference :flipoff2:

Make sure you have AAA+ :flipoff2:

Yep - it's got the OEM suspension still (that's next) and I replaced the 275/75R16 LTX M/S with the Goodyear MTR's...fixed the light so you can see them now

BTW - I've got one LTX M/S that I had to buy the week after x-mas w/ 5k on it if anyone is interested (couldn't bring myself to throw away a tire I paid $160 a couple of months ago). Ping me if your interested - no reasonable offer refused (ie. want out of garage)!

Hmmm - you can see them on my TFT, I'll have to try to lighten...

That's better - what do you think now?
actually when I said I couldn't tell any difference, it had nothing to do with the darkness of the pic :flipoff2: :slap: was referring to the mt/r still being a street tire.

Much better. They do look more aggressive. Outside of being a little bit louder, hows the on road behavior? Impressions? I'm about 5K from needing to replace mine. Will a 285 fit up as a spare or did you just replace the four on road tires and figure you'd limp with a 275 spare if necessary? Just curious.

So far it handles pretty much the same as before - but I've only had them on for a day or so. The only really noticeable difference is the noise...and it sits a little higher :D I've got all the stuff to raise my spare tire carrier - so I'll be doing that and installing the spare this weekend (I bought 5 tires). I think it would fit stock ... I just wanted to raise it a bit.
The spare fits in stock position, but I also intend to do the spacer thing, it doesn't hang noticeably lower than the stock tire though (in current stock position)

I've got 295 75 bfg at's, and the spare fits down below just fine. Doesn't hang any lower than my receiver hitch at least.. only problem is when I shove stuff in the receiver hitch (like my bike rack deal) it smacks into the tire before the hitch pin holes line up, so I need to either cut down the receiver part of the rack or raise the crossmember underneath... will most likely raise that thing so the spare is up out of the way for good (and more out of sight of passers by)

Anyone got an extra stock 16x8" rim? My spare's currently mounted on a 16x7, which works as a spare, but I want to be able rotate all 5.

Nak - good point about the hitch. With the current weight distribution hitch I use I have to give it a gentle whack to get the holes to line up with the stock 275 up there. Hopefully, I'll loose the weight distribution hitch today with the airlift airbags going in. Std. hitch is a little shorter.

I had a 305/70 under the vehicle and I had no problem getting the OEM drawbar in. The OEM drawbar is shorter than most generic bars and does not protrude past the inside edge of the receiver tube. You can also gain a bit of wiggle room if you push the spare slightly forward as you tighten the chain.

Nice :D

Looks kinda like my before/after pix.

On mine, the speedo's off by about 3 mph (or aprox 5%). I noticed a slight increase in noise -- kinda like a high pitched hum.

Congrats on the upgrade.

My LTXs got lots of rubber on them, guess I'll be waiting awhile to get new meat. Looks good!

LTX's.....HAH! You might as well plant a rubber tree and plan on making your own MT/Rs before those tire wear down.
