My '11 LX is missing the stock jack in the tail gate tool box. Looks like they're a $150 replacement. Anybody know of a cheaper option? I travel a lot and want the piece of mind of having one just in case. Thanks

I meant the jack in the little side compartment. I have the tool box in the tail gate. I looked on Ebay and nothing popped up but I'll keep checking.

It’s. It particularly special the jack. You could look around locally for a bottle jack and measure a few to see which will fit.
Not to hijack this thread, but your picture shows a first aid kit. Was that supposed to come with the LC or is it a separate purchase?
At least in 2017 it was a separate purchase. I don’t know about earlier model years.
I know it was standard on my 11 LX, I have the original invoice. It didn’t occur to me that something like a first aid kit wouldn’t be standard on an 85k truck.
FYI. I had to change a tire on the road a couple weeks ago. The factory jack just barely got the front tire high enough to do it. And I had to crank literally forever to get there. Not a huge fan of the jack. I carry a block of wood now for a little extra clearance.

Afaik, it's a port-added option. It's a price rip-off for what you get...imo more effective to find a case if you insist on that spot, and fill it yourself from a good drugstore or website.
Thanks! Probably just as well, if it is like the one that came with my bride’s Lexus it would just cause me to go get my own supplies to fill it with anyway. Will take a look at that space to see if it is worth trying to shoehorn something in there.
As for the jack, I put mine through a workout when I put on my lift recently. It is functional, but having a block of wood to give it more height is a must if it is your only jack, especially if you think you might be on softer ground.
I think someone sells a part to add to the jack when using it to lift the truck up higher.
