I’m in need of a new passenger side mirror for my 04 LX470. The dealer wants to charge $600 for a new piece, which is absurd. I’ve been able to find other mirrors for cheaper on amayama that will fit on the LC 100 series, but it doesn’t reference the Lx. I’m assuming it will, but wanted to confirm I could buy the LC mirror model and it will fit on my LX. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you’re willing to give up the “power fold” feature…

Sorry, I should have specified. The mirror housing is completely fine. It’s just the glass that i need to replace. I believe the part number I’m seeing is 87931-60801.

$600??? Crazy!

AFAIK, The LX mirror itself is auto dimming. LC is not.

Edit: sold

so will an LC mirror fit an LX470? Looks like LC is ~$200. I'm in this same boat.. but no way spending $600+ on a mirror. I dont care about the auto-dimming or auto-down features..

I'm 90% sure it'll fit. Might look a bit strange when one side is dimmed and the other side not. Maybe disconnect the dimming wiring on the "good" side.

Is there any way to just replace the glass portion of the mirror vs the entire assembly? I have the same issue on the drivers side of my ‘03 LX470. I think it was caused by water intrusion on the wiring…

well, both of mine are broken... so id be replacing both at the same time. Can anyone else confirm this? Don't want to spend $400+ and find they dont fit..

On my 01 LX, the mirror has a defrost option. I could only find places that wanted to sell the entire mirror assembly and not just the glass for hundreds of dollars. I just bought a cheap ($23) replacement mirror that sticks on to the existing. For over two years now, it has not had any issues.

Mine had the same setup on both mirrors when I bought it in 2007 and I've never replaced them. Works just fine other than they don't have any magnification on them (so objects DON'T appear closer than they are)! :)
