Does anyone know if an early 80's mini truck long bed floor will work for a replacement in an 65fj45 long bed? My bed floor is toast and the mini truck bed looks very similar.

No, I think the beds are too different. I had thought of using the ribbing of a larger domestic old bed and making it work either in a bed or stretched 40..

They are so similar in dimensions though? What doesnt work?

I explored this option as well. I believe the dimensions are bigger than you think (LWB>mini truck etc.) and the gauge metal is quite a bit smaller so the metal is considerably thinner.

On a positive note I should have a complete bed floor delivered by the end of this month for under a G from a company in Utah.

Some welding will be required to form the end of the ribs/corrugation or whatever you want to call them....if you need further details in that respect take a peak at Awl-Tec's bed build thread.

@jestlurnin I have a 77 long bed with basically no floor in the market as well where can I go to contact someone and how much do you think I live in Florida so I'd be paying shipping

Get a hold of @awltec for the flat plans (a little scratch for the plans is a good idea) and send them to Richards sheet metal in Ogden Utah. Ask for Jason Dickamore at Richards. Both Awltec (kevin) and Richards sheet metal are awesome folks and very accommodating (even to a sheet metal idiot such as myself). Myself and 47coeman have complete floors sitting in our respective garages ready to be put in our rigs.

Toyota,
Since you live in Florida you might consider contacting Land Cruiser Heaven, here on mud it is @FloridaFJ80. He sells parts from Zarate Autoparts in SA. Although he won't be able to deliver them as quickly as the guy in Utah. Just another option.

If you want to get hold of Kevin try @Awl_TEQ . Will work better then @awltec.

I have trailer made from a early seventies Toyota pickup. Other then being shorter it's very close. Has the same style panels behind and in front of the wheel wells. Uses the same style screws and seems to be the same heavier gauge. This is comparing to my 65 FJ45L-B.
