In my research on cargo barriers, I called a guy named Jim in Wisconsin. I think his website was load barrier.com or something similar. Anyways, he wasn't super helpful (I was trying to get info on whether they worked with curtain airbags), but he did say he had some in stock. Wouldn't be getting more. Sounded like he was getting out of the business and was a bit cranky. Said it cost too much to import them from Austrailia. Just for fun I asked him the cost of one- "ah, I'd sell it to ya for 400 bucks." I didn't inquire further. I have no affiliation and cannot vouch for this guy. I do know that a Mud member bought one from him years ago in an old thread I found and seemed happy. I think his website from that thread was midwestlandcruiser. Same guy, I checked the phone number. I would certainly take the risk at that price, but a Milford won't fit into my build plan. It sounds like they are really hard to get ahold of. Hope this helps someone- and don't get ****** at me if he turns out to be a loser!

it would help if I put his #- 414-350-4275

My wife and I both have a 100 series...hers does not have curtain airbags...funny because the door sticker claims otherwise. Sometimes I wonder if I should give her my cruiser with curtain air bags/side air bags.....

The other solution of course instead of a cargo barrier would be to install some drawers like ARB, etc.

Useful info for people with curtain airbags.

Hi Axel,

Thank you for your enquiry. The 608500 is now an obsolete part number, it has been replaced with the 608825. However, this barrier although suitable with the dual air, isn’t suitable with side curtain airbags. Unfortunately all our 100 Series barriers are not side curtain airbag compatible.

Our apologies and thanks again,
Rachel

Kind regards

Subject: Cargo Barrier 608500

Hello,

I have a North American spec Land Cruiser 100 with rear air conditioning and side curtain airbags. I believe the 608500 cargo barrier will fit with the rear air conditioning but will it work with the side curtain airbags as well.
Thank you for your help

Good info. I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to do to keep my dogs and kids separated. I'm leaning toward a cargo net right now, until I find something more suitable.

any update on what you ended up going with? I am in same predicament...

Cargo net.

Info to add to this thread... The ARB (outback solutions) cargo barrier is curtain airbag compatible according to my correspondences with Outback Solutions. They make a with-rear-ac and non-rear-ac version. They're meant to attach to the roller drawer system, perhaps clever people could find an alternate way of attaching the bottom. I like mine, very sturdy, well engineered and tested. Got mine through Slee.

how does it look, which one did you go with? Any pics?

I went with the Raingler net. I believe its technically for the 80. Check their website for more info, I don't believe I have any pics and unfortunately its not installed at the moment.

The decision was based on liability issues not to go with his barrier. I would have purchased one if it made sense.
