Well a bit of an update about with under 3 weeks to the comp. Last weekend Az and I fitted up the new 10,000lb tigerz11 comp winch, for anyone looking at buying just make sure you check the measurement of your chassis to make sure it will fit, it only just fit in mine  . We also worked on the airbox setup to take the snorkle, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I've never really seen a snorkle on a carbied engine with gas on it.

You can see how close the winch is to the bullbar and how we had to cut out the gusset a bit.

The airbox is off a VS commodore

had to modify the box made a whole new intake for the bottom and moved the intake on the top, it used to be on the angled face

I got a sheet metal place to roll up a ring and cut a disc for me, i welded it together and weled the intake pipe on.

Oh and I picked up a 95 diesel hilux as a daily, fairly stock now and got some rust to fix. Once it's registered the 35's will stay on the cruiser and the 33's will go on the hilux. I've already got some parts organised for it 3inch springs, some 4.56 diffs and a surf turbo. got it home on monday and started straight away.

the bull bar, rear bar and towbar are off and i have chopped a bit of the front crossmember due to rust.

I think I might need the mods to move my from expedition builds to 70 series tech or hardcore corner, because it not the touring rig anymore. Got a few photos from the weekend at the mackay offroad challenge. The cruiser was really not built for the event but it performed ok before I ran into electrical problems which meant no winch. I had heaps of fun and have got the bug to compete again, so it's now going to get the treatment and move inot phase 2 of the build. The plan is to turn it into a styleside extra cab ute, put the rear leaves in the front with a shackle reversal and put 60 series rear springs in the back (i think?), 36 inch simexes, exo and internal cage, get it running on straight gas and a few other bits and pieces. heres some pics of the weekend...

it felt like I spent more time looking in the engine bay than I did driving, my alternator died on me bout halfway threw the stages so I struggled from then on really.
