Cheers! Thanks for the shots. I will definitely refer back to them when I get my BJ74. Is the PVC reservoir designed that way to reduce slosh or just cause that was the material on hand?
 
ok so finally the engine is finished and its getting packed up with some other goodies and will be getting sent up from brissy this week. hers some update photos of whats been happening.

installed a new head unit with some marine speakers and wired up the uhf. when i got the cruiser al it had in there was the head unit and you could see all the wire and stuff behind the dash.

got the sidesteps all painted up and fitted this weekend. i jacked it up on the side step and it flexes about 2mm. doesn't hit anything so i'm not oo worried about it. i also made up a new center console to take the cooler.

also on the drivers side where the front mount for the side step is i couldn't get the brackets back on that holds fuel line and brake line but all the others are back on. can anyone see this being a problem? :?

finally! after a long time waiting my engine is in Mackay and at the mechanics to get put in :D:D:D. It got dropped off last night, im getting the gearbox done up as well, he called me about it today and the main gear shaft/ input shaft? (i don't think it's called that) is pretty buggered and it will start shedding metal and get into the bearings, apparently can't source a new one.... :confused:? so either way things will get done in time and it will be getting close to being finshed. i got some other stuff on the pallet with the engine. heres some pics.

the engine is done and it sounds 10364 times better than the old shyta, goes alot better and i haven't even given't it much while i run it in. gearbox and transfer are rebuilt brand new exhaust, its all virtually brand new, i love it. john ham at offroad autos has done a really nice job
