Back up for sale. $15,000. Firm. If you want to negotiate, we can pretend I'm asking $17,500 and we'll settle on $15k.

I purchased this a few years ago from a forum member (@RustyNailJustin ) out of Oregon. Since purchase, we have done the following:

- Stripped most of a very old repaint down to original (touched up a few areas), and she has great patina.
- Purchased and installed original bench seat and jump seats, all freshly powder coated with new upholstery from Cruiser Corps
- Installed freshly powder coated wheels
- New hubcaps,
- New 33x10.5 KM2's.
- Front disc brake conversion
- New tail lights and rear reflectors
- New brake master cylinder
- Purchased original windshield channel and door frame soft top channels.
- Full set of bows included.
- I have a set of early doors that are painted black, that can possibly go along with the truck

- Wipers do not work - they didn't work when I purchased it. I have not diagnosed it at all because it only gets driven on sunny days.

Truck has a SBC in it. Swap was done a long time ago and done very well - all the gauges work. Still has stock transfer case and 3spd. 4WD works great. Frame is super clean. I have a ton of pics and can take whatever you are interested in seeing.

The truck is awesome. As you can imagine, it literally gets thumbs up and looks everywhere we take it, and many stop to talk about it and look at it. We are extremely busy. If you are seriously interested, send me a PM with your phone number, and I will call you.

The story behind this FJ40 to the best of my knowledge. It was originally from Colorado, brought to Eastern Oregon in the early 90s by the family I bought from. It’s a super solid FST FJ40. The engine conversion was done correctly and very clean. Runs, drives, steers and stops great. I wish I was in a position to buy it back. Just bought another house and cash funds are hard to come by right now.
Great rig, great price Jonathan.

Here it is when I owned it, before Jonathan removed the paint from the PO. The white paint was done in 1994.

Thanks, Justin. This was not an easy decision for our family, as it is our favorite cruiser. However, the amount of use we get out of it is minimal. We purchased our lake property a few years ago, and I feel we would get more use out of a dock/boat for the family - which has to be approved to be built through a wetland...so it's going to be expensive. Nonetheless, our hearts are not in the sale, but it seems like the best thing to do. Thanks for the info and kind words!

More pictures please. Any rust? Or, rather, where is there rust?

Where in Michigan?

That's a nice part of the state....I grew up in GR, and spent many summers around Hart/Walkerville area. GLWS!

Oh wow....talk about blast from the past. That's the lake that we went to almost daily during the summers when I was a kid. In the early to mid 80's. We had relatives that lived along 144th ave just before Smith's (that's what we called it) hill. That's the lake where I learned to swim....what a small world....lol

That’s crazy! Small world. If you’re ever back in the mitten, we have spare rooms and will feed you...and of course, relive your childhood with time in the lake.

We'd be down for that!
