I am considering the Metal Tech full cage kit for my 40, but the disclaimer makes me nervous. I understand they do not want any liability, but is the cage really just a "show purpose" and will it just collapse when I end up on my lid?

Has anyone on this board rolled a cruiser with a metal tech cage, and how did it do?

Hell yeah treeroot!!!!!

Everyone selling cages, power steering, suspension and about everyother off-road part has the same basic disclaimer. I'm hoping to order mine VERY SOON, gotta save my pennies. Gonna do the frame tie-ins and all on this one this time. Prolly gonna have it TIGed. Did the nose gaurd that way and it is super clean and strong as hell. I don't think you can go wrong with one of Mark's cages!

Just finished welding my cage kit. Turned out GREAT! With quality welds it looks to be almost unbreakable. Great kit and Mark is a great guy! This is not a cheap "show" kit. Advice would be buy a tool for cutting the fish mouth ends. I used a grinder and it took a long time.

I rolled my cruiser into a tree with a MetalTech cage. No problems! No deflection! I scared the dog though.

i would trust marks cages to save my life, they are not just for show. they are very strong and as long as your welds are good i would not worry about getting hurt in a roll over. but definetly connect it to the frame. and on his site mine is the one under the name frank stair. i am very happy with it and how it turned out, and mark is a very nice guy and wont screw you over!!

Mark's cages are first class. Just as strong as any cage that you could have built by anyone else and evertyhing fits great. just be prepared to spend some time with the griner. He leaves the tubes long so that you can make tha cage fit how you want it to.

I wouldn`t sweat it.I rolled this Cruizer` 5 time with no roll bar and we both walked away.Keep all extremities inside the vehicle. As long as you have someone welding it that knows what they are doing you should not have a problem.

Nope just quick thinking.Grabbed my girlfriend and laid down on the bench seat. She wound up with a brocken arm because she grabbed onto the windshield frame before I could grab her.

Mark wanted to roll my truck at the roundup, but I was too sober......
VDawg, you gotta understand the reason for the disclaimer......lawsuits.
Guy buys a Metaltech kit, has it installed, kid rolls it doing 80 down a cement hiway, kills him, he sues

It is as good as you can buy in a kit form and better than a lot of custom built ones.
