You know Im in for three - fleabay keys and the ones you can order from across the pond are weak sauce stirred with a touch of low quality like you would expect from daimler chrysler.

WOW! cool. I just talked my electrical engineer at work for ideas to work around the shielding problems created by a metal case. You guys got me excited enough to take a stab with some concepts and CAD models. It was the worst feeling to be on Rollin Pass and have my key start to crack. I already almost got stranded another time back here in jersey when another key completely failed and came apart. To be continued!!!......

Just ordered a flea bay with transponder for $65. Sent email to infinity key letting him know 35 of us are traveling hundreds (thousands) of miles away and would likely want a spare if he has a Beta of the Inifinity key available for us

My issue with the case wasn't blunt force cracking the case but rather torquing the key over and over in the ignition eventually causing a crack where the blade of the key meets the body. After the tiny crack formed it quickly split wide open when trying to turn the key in the ignition. I don't think those covers would help at all.

Got one of those soft rubber FOBs a year or two ago, and it actually does help reduce the torque some.

Those Eternity Keys do look very tough though.

So have been working up a design but i am stuck trying to find a spec for the key blade blank alone. Any idears where i could find this info?

I checked them out online, looks like a ton of Toyota and Lexus dealers are selling these.

Any key updates?
