Anybody stepped up to fill the hole when DJ closed up? Specifically right now I need some tune up work on my 60 that has a carburated v8. I'm thinking trying to do more of my own simple repairs but right now I have an inspection due and don't have the time right now to mess with things myself. Any suggestions on a landcruiser specilaist or just a good engine shop would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Brad

Man. I can't even think right now who could do that kinda work for you around here... Kurt with Cruiser Outfitters may be able to do that kind of work, hopefully he sees this thread cause if can't do the work, he'll know where to send ya for sure. You could email him as well at kurt@cruiseroutfitters.com. I'll forward this message on to the Wasatch Cruiser mailing list and see what people think. HTH.

If it is carb your having problems with... I would take it to a Carb specialist... there are several shops here in town that I send them to on a regular basis...

Automotive Safety Services (SLC)
Carb Master (West Jordan)
Floyd and Mikes (Draper)
McNeils Auto (Sandy)

All have good carb guys...

If it is other Safety/IM stuff, let me know, I can help you out... :D

Thanks guys!
Right now it is just carb stuff - dieseling, throtle sticking, etc. I had it rebuilt at Carburator Specialists on a recomendation only after to have someone else tell I'd a been beter off flushing my $230 down the toliet and at this point I'd agree. Down the road I need to decide to either rebuild or replace so I"m trying to find a place that won't give advice just on what makes them the most money. Anyway - Kurt you recomend Automotive Safety Services? Would they be a good place to cultivate a relationship with for my long term needs?

Thanks!

Brad
