Hey Friends,
I wanted to reach out to ask if anyone knows of any mechanics in the Harrisburg area, or anyone who knows these trucks well enough? I've got a 1985 LC and can't get it running properly.
Long story short, I bought the project over the summer ("ran when I parked it" story). First owner had it from 85-06, second owner was in the Navy, according to CarFax it had about 5k miles put on it between 07 and 2012, and it has mostly sat since then. I put in a new battery, new alternator, changed the fuses, and still couldn't get it going. Took it to my local shop, but ownership just changed and they aren't too keen on working on an 85 2F.
I'm in the Lemoyne area. I'm willing to have it towed, happy to invite any mechanics over- whatever I need to do to get it on the road by summer. Would love some recommendations. It was a Texas truck for the first 21 years, so rust is minimal and everything is pretty much 100% stock. Still have the smog equipment in there.
Thanks for the help guys. Looking forward to getting it up and running and finally being able to hit some trails.
Cheers.
