So i got my block machined the other day and he said they removed 10 11 thousandths and i have no idea how to write that in decimal form.. im a rookie at all this so could i get some help?

0.010" to 0.011"

zero dot 10ths, hundredths, thousands, and if you're real good, ten thousandths of an inch

You'll hear machinst folk talk about "tenths"... referring to tenths of thousands (.0001 = 1 tenth), not tenths of an inch (.1 = 1 tenth) worth knowing.
