Oh it's now 3 trucks now for paragon? Man! It used to be two at the minimum. I thought RC is further away from Paragon. I know Paragon has many many trails. I have done may be two of the black/some other trails with my old truck last year. I know of their monthly ride, I think it's worth the money going to intermediate 2 level ride for a monthly ride, I guess a stock run could be nice too. Yeah I knew of the pig run you guys went but I just wasn't ready, I guess RC also have stock trails? Show us some pictures of the pig run. Let's put together some thing for the coming weekend, if every one's up for it :D

I'm definitely up for wheeling, but my weekends are going to be busy busy busy here :(

sorry! but others might be free

I would be up for Salt Shed / GWNF if you guys happen to come down this way (maybe even Peters Mill). My FJ80 will be down this weekend for some well-deserved maintenance. I have my 40 so I’m restricted to central Va.

Cant until I fix the PIG.

Chuck

I would but last time I checked my truck told me it still had a hangover. :whoops:

I told the damn thing if it wasn't such an alcoholic we wouldn't have these problems. :flipoff2:

I'm tenatively planning a trip with the family to Peter's Mill next weekend. Anyone want to tag along? We'll probably drive up Sat. and camp overnight. Bringing the canoe along too.

I thought Peter's Mill is closed until first week of September for trail maint. I sort of gave up on rounding up folks for a more cruiser based run and signed up on Paragon'e monthly ride, coming up this weekend Sept 3rd and 4th. I plan to be there only Saturday. I signed up for intermediate level 2 run. Should be fun. First time wheeling with the cruiser so it should give me a great overview of what it can or cannot do. If you want to join up, please sign up, seems like they go pretty fast.

I'd like to go to Paragon but it's 3.5 hrs away. Edinburg is a lot closer to me. I didn't realize Peter's Mill was closed. Thanks for the heads up. Any place close to camp and do some canoeing? Guess I'll check their web page.

If you get a chance check out the 'Headless Horseman' :D

I will be in/ around Luray this weekend. Can meet near h-burg or anywhere in the area if anyone is interested.

Well Peter's Mill opened 9/1. We drove it on Sunday. Pretty much a dirt freeway. One little section is a little tight and rocky still very mild though. The rest of it is pretty much just a dirt road. Scenic though.

Ken,
I was there last year. What did they do with the rocks/small boulders, bulldoze them to the sides? I don't know exactly where, but there was one section that was mostly small to 1'-2' rocks throughout the trail. I guess they are gone too? Thanks.

A grader went through that trail. The section that is near the top is the only section that was spared from the grader. This was my first time to Peter's Mill but no big rocks (biggest rock was 6"). The half of the trail that is near the campground has a ton of coarse gravel on it too, it's like an ATV highway.

PM has become a Porche running road over the years. It used to be semi decent trail back in late 90s upto 00. They will turn this into a real paved road soon, you watch ;)
