You might consider looking at the LX450 from Lexus. They are often babied and you can pull the service record from Lexus if they have it done there (most do). LX450 is basically a loaded LC with some minor trim differences.

Some dealer(or port) installed options are, running boards, roof rack, sun roof deflector, rear deflector thingy, tow hitch and crap like that.

Interesting to note that some of these "accessories" were originally installed at the factory. The Lexus running board and roof racks installed at the factory has the OEM paint color, and not the typical black color. I thought about swapping my black running boards out for the matching OEM colored ones until I scaped the **** out of it on its first offroad excusion :)

95 to 97 are pretty much the same except for color & lockers. The Lexus says Toyota all over it except for a few badges. If a cruiser pops up in Phoenix, let me know.

I would go with a LC from 95-97 becuase the truck is going to be nicer (or if possible get a 40th), both on and off road, and all other aspects of the vehicle. If you are going to go off roading with it you might want to consider lockers. The only downside of the truck is that I have to replace the brakes every 15k-20k miles. Don't know if anyone else has this problem or if it is just becuase of my led foot driving. Other than that you find a truck that is built as strongly as this one. Ch

Dave,
Reread Simon's post as he gave you excellent advice.

Sammy,
Try the 100 series pads on new OEM rotors and they will last longer.

Someday I'll try swapping control heads to see, maybe when I start replacing dash lights in both. I'd also like to see if there's an auto switch on the back of my climate control, maybe it could be turned off?
