Hey there everybody! I hope this finds everyone healthy and hanging in there through these strange times.
Unfortunately I’m here with more cancellations.
We will not have a May meeting as it would be too large a gathering to fall within current guidelines of groups of under 10. The state has put out very clear rules of how to proceed and we will be following those for the safety of all club members. We know there will be lots of different opinions on everything going on and we are choosing to err on the side of caution for upcoming club activities. We will be watching, along with everybody, to see how things unfold as events get closer.
So with that being said, we are also canceling the upcoming trip to St. Anthony Sand Dunes. Non-essential travel is still not recommended and there are too many variables, like if Idaho actually reopens the 30th and if the dunes fully open up May 1st, to responsibly move forward with the trip. Besides the simple facts that if anything were to happen mechanically or otherwise people would have to interact with the local community and get themselves a 14 day quarantine upon their return home...
We don’t take these decisions lightly and are trying to make the well-being, safety, and health of the club members, and our friends, our first priority.
