I checked them vs the oem shocks and the hole seems to be the same size, except the oem have metal sleeve. I guess the fox bushings will hold up with direct contact to the shock bolt.
 
No sleeve needed for rear shocks on bottom. OME does not have them. The rubber bushing rides against metal "stud".
 
I got the rear installed. I love the ride, but they do feel a little soft. Over bridges and large dips I feel like the back of the truck really dips down and then comes up real slow. I'll put some miles on them and report back.

I rode in a 100 all last weekend that is fully loaded with bumpers, drawers, etc. and has the Fox shocks on it. I will say in that on road experience the Foxs are awesome, IMO, just the right amount of softness, far better feeling than the shocks I spent wayyyy more on..every one will have their own thoughts, but I'd buy these if I was shopping for shocks now.

I guess I'm used to a stiffer shock. The OME's rode pretty stiff and felt more "sporty". The Fox made it ride like a cloud. It's very very comfortable now, but also gives me a sense that on washboard roads and large dips I'd crush the bump stops. All in all I love the Fox's, just need to be a bit stiffer for me. I feel like the shock can't handle the weight and allows for a lot of movement going over bumps and crests on intersections. It's hard to explain...it's a comfy ride but a bit to soft.

You might be surprised how the Fox's will handle the heavier washboard stuff. It may be tuned soft for the low speed dampening work but stiffen right up to handle the higher speed hits.

I'll keep driving and find some rougher roads and possibly venture to a short gravel road nearby. I wonder if there is a way to stiffen them up for road use. I do like the ride, very very soft. It will take some getting used to the floaty luxurious ride.

based on my use of the truck, decent sharp cornering at highway speed on a windy road is more important to me than anything else. as long as it can do that at least as well as stock i would be interested.

with that in mind, how is the cornering at speed and what coils are you running and how old are they?
 
Interesting opinions. I'm now running the 2.5 RR Radflos (with TC UCAs). They seem great so far. Maybe a little on the stiff side on the small stuff (more road chatter than before) but when you take a big hit they just swallow it up. I have this one RR crossing that was made very poorly and most cars slow to 20-25 (road is 45 posted). I can do it at 55 with absolute zero discomfort of perceived loss of contact. The only thing I get is a touch of tire rub on DS front fender liner, but that's the fault of the wheel spacers, not the shocks. The first time I hit it I was blown away and kept increasing my speed to the max safe for the road. I have my first week long expo on them next week so I'll report back. These are the new longer travel Radflos so none of the click probs others have posted.
 
I'm waiting for the Fox 2.5" with reservoirs to come out before I switch my Radfails out. Hopefully by the end of summer.
 
The more miles I put on these the more I don't like them. Going over speed bumps the rear end bobs up and down like the shock isn't working. On concrete highways where the concrete is patched and larger dips and pot holes the rear doesn't seem to stop going up and down (like a old Cadillac). The rear end is so soft that I feel like I don't have a shock back there. I prefer a sporty shock over a comfort shock. I think Fox made these for the retired folks...it's softer than OEM shocks. I really wanted to say I love these, and I may of gotten a pair that was not built properly, but I can't possibly imagine the "Fox" shock riding like this. Maybe the name is all hype and the shocks are just over priced sub-par shocks. I like my Profender shocks 100% better than these. At least it feels like the shock is working. I'll be looking at swapping them back out for the Profenders. Despite the lack of customer service, at least the Pro Fender works.
