May have a new shock option soon!

I'm sure if you contacted them directly they would be able to help you. I know for sure that they will be releasing them to the general public soon and will have a part number. I have had these shocks on for nearly a year and have had no issues. I really think that unless you are running the Baja 500 you don't need a reservoir shock. These have served me well from Moab to Death Valley and the Sierras. As soon as I hear word on a part number I'll post something here.

I agree, and I've run quite a few shocks on trucks and track cars. As well as bend my 99 taco and 07 titan frame from running them hard in the desert. Thanks again for all of this input! It's amazing how many times I've googled landcruiser shocks and not find any of the options listed here. I'm so glad I posted here and I'm dead set on picking up a set of 2.0 fox, especially at that price point

Upon further investigation with the length...they add significant down travel. A bit uneasy with how close everything gets. Less than a 1/4" in there.

Do you happen to have any "before" pictures for comparison?

Looking good! Btw are you running a diff drop? Sorry, don't remember from your prior posts.

Do you have a part number on the fox and how's your impression on valving? Also noticed you have the tc uca's. no shock topping out on those? One more, do you have the dimensions if you don't have the part number?

I just gave a call to offroad warehouse and hopefully they'll have the answer by Monday. Just sucks driving around on a blown front shock right now ....

I ran Old Man Emu prior to the Fox and my impression was that the OME were just too stiff. The Fox, depending on valving gives a ride much more close to stock but more composed. The Fox shocks should be available at ORW and 4Wheel Parts by the end of this month. Part numbers are 985-24-066 and 985-24-067 front/rear. These will fit stock to 1.5 inch lift. My truck weighs in at over 8,000 lbs loaded and I've had no problems.

That sounds like it may be too short for many owners. Are you in touch with them? It would be nice to get another L shock option for those who've already done the mods to run them.

Fox is also working on a 2.5 with reservoir and a compression dampening knob for the people that want to have top of the line bolt on shock. I don't know the exact price point, but I'm pretty sure they will try to keep it south of King's and Slee's. I'm running Slee heavies in the rear with the Fox 2.0 and seem to get the same articulation that I had with the OME shocks. As far as the front goes, you just can't put a long shock with the IFS, even with aftermarket UCA's. There's just not enough travel.

How close are your UCA's to the shock at full droop?

Nick , you need to just buy my TC UCA already !! before someone else does.....

Nice set up , love the fox shocks above.... ^^

Thanks soooo much to you guys for posting your findings and observations. Ill keep everyone posted as well with my stock uca clearance and fox shocks.

Damn, 3 weeks wait time on these too.... Seems like the magic number. However I did place my order and orw is selling them below list of $130. I bought some bilstein 4600's locally until then. Ill post these up in 3 weeks after I get my fox installed.

wait, you bought shocks just to replace in 3 weeks? why?

It's my daily and my front shocks have disconnected themselves at the shaft :/

any ideas on the difference between the Fox 2.0 performance and 2.0 emulsion shocks?

The 2.0 listed here is an aluminum body internal float piston vs a steel body emulsion shock. The aluminum gives it the oil capacity characteristics of the 2.5 steel body bc the aluminum cools quicker. Not to mention much cheaper to produce! Both are revalveable and rebuildable.

This universal fit offering from Fox looks like a good L shock alternativehttp://www.ridefox.com/product.php?make=Universal&model=Stem%20Top%20-%20Eyelet&t=shocks&year=&position=10&m=truck&p=23&ref=filter

Spoke to ORW

I sent an email to ORW last week, they got back to me on the weekend. The Fox Shox are available for $114.99, lead time is 4-6 weeks. They are not sure if or how many they will warehouse.
