The ones we have coming for the 100 series will look like this.

Those look nice Ryan. IMO the review on NC4x4 was pretty darn good and these appear to be a great value at a nice price point. The Cruiser community is a great one and this forum is a wealth of information. You can expect plenty feedback from people on here as there are limited aftermarket options for 100 Series Cruisers. When do you expect these will be available?

Those are a lot different then the ones in the artical. I would assume these would be less then the $176.00 ones, correct?

The remote resis are nice and a good price. Any price info on the non resi shocks? I'm kinda interested in the 50mm units.

I'm interested in something that WILL last more than 22K...and give me more travel.

Hey Nick if you are having shock problems wouldn't you think the stock replacement model Bilstein (i think you are running these) you decided to run would have problems after lifting your rig more over time. I would think they would be great on non lifted 100's but always questioned running them after suspension mods. I know you haven't had them on too long but you've also been steadily increasing you lift which needs longer shocks for more suspension travel. This was a key factor for me not buying Bilsteins. I think Bilstein makes great products too but don't think the standard replacement model for 100's is adequate on lifted 100's. Maybe you have more feedback since you've been running them. I also think remote resovior shocks are overkill for most people but it seems to be the latest trend everyone is jumping all over.

I installed them with a very mild 1" lift (when you saw it last) , nothing crazy but not stock height. 3 months ago I went to a 3.3" lift in the rear and 2.75" in the front. I have had a rattle for the last 10K upfront and finally found a small amount of shock oil on the ground. Seems I blew a Bilstien. Now, I will call them tomorrow and explain, maybe I can get it warranted, but I'm not at stock height anymore, and they are to short to begone with. My upper ball joints are trashed and bushings in the front are all gone, I'm stuck between saving up and getting a Radflo with UCA's over the winter, or giving ProFender a chance and see what they can do in the 100 market. I need more info (when they get it) if they are compatible with JT UCA's or stock UCA, etc

( I don't think it's the lift that killed them, I think it's just me)

They are 2.0
Near stock weight 2" lift
Spacers are not the same on these. These are vehicle specific, not universal.
Bushings have been changed to poly.

Thanks for the prompt reply! So one "tune" for all weights? Is this better suited for the lifted and otherwise non-modded 100 or is it set up more for an 8,000 lb rig with front and rear bumpers, winch, drawers, roof rack, fridge sort of thing?

Please PM me with the details of your 100 series and we can work out a great shock solution for you.

Your 8000 pound behemoth will need a different shock than a normal vehicle.

Curb weight stock on my 99 100 is 6860 lbs... My 35" tires weigh alot more than the stockers that come on the truck... My front bumper and sliders weight anther 300-400lbs alone... I do not have a custom rear bumper installed right now but that will add another 200lbs at least... Anytime I go trail riding I load up the truck for a weekend away from home and as you can see it's very typical for these vehicles to exceed 8000lbs pretty easily... These are behemoths but I think most people buying these shocks will be 8000lb+ rigs...

does the weight of the tire have much affect on the shock needed? I wouldn't think so but who knows...

We deal in sprung weight, wheels, tires, axles, and such have little effect on the shocks.

I was being sarcastic to the gentleman for asking the same question I had already answered. Its hard to tell on the internet. Thanks for pointing it out.

If a tunable shock is what is wanted then we have a solution for that. These shocks are tuned on a shocks dyno for the 100 series landcruiser weight and made to fit in the stock mounting locations.

Adding accessories will have some effect on the performance, as will having 5 200# guys riding in it, or have 4 cases of beer and 3 guys, or having a full size spare and 54" Michelins.

So in short, these will work great on most 100 series.

What question? The one where I asked what is was best tuned for? I don't remember seeing your 1st reply on that one. It was only after I asked a 2nd time that I got an answer.

EDIT: I see that you addressed this in post #15. This response from you states that the shocks that are vehicle specific are not tunable and that they are built for stock weight. My apologies Ryan.

It is kind of hard to tell tone in a post though. Forgive me for being pushy on the subject but when we are dumping 10s of thousands into our rigs , a lot of us like more details than "this is a 2.0 shock that is made for your 100 series". I want to know that the design team took into account the weight of the vehicle and then factored in the fact that if someone was going to purchase a remote reservoir shock, the odds would be pretty high that the overall weight of the vehicle would be significantly higher than stock. I would postulate that most do not take a bone-stock 100 Series at XXXlbs, add remote reservoir shocks and then call it a day.

I like what I see at Profender! I think market awareness for this product will increase in correlation with the amount of information you can push down to us with regards to the 100 Series.

Thanks for providing us another shock option.

Thanks for your reply. I do understand that buying a good quality shock is expensive and not something that should be taken lightly.

I would not sell something that I did not believe is a quality product. I wheel, and I am in the same position as most of you. I just want to get out on the trails and have a great time. After driving hours to get to a spot then having something of poor quality break and leave you stranded is the worst feeling. I have been there.

I would not sell these shocks until I got my hands on them and looked them over. The welds are of superior quality, the finish is excellent, and the hardware included is top notch.

This thread is a tad old, I didn't want to start a new thread asking.

Has anybody bit the bullet and installed these? All four of my shocks are nearing 80K and they don't do there job very well anymore. They are more cosmetic than function at this point.

EDIT: I sent them a email via "Contact Us" inquiring about the weight of my 100 and a possible review. Hopefully I hear something back soon.
