what is the biggest size tire u can fit on a slee ome 2.5" lift i tried searching and couldn't find anything?? oh and if anybody got some pics to show off there lifts much appreciated.. trying to figure out what i wanna do with my beast!!

Lots of factors to this question. Type of wheeling, fender flares or no, backspacing, added weight to vehicle. The quick answer would be 315's if you just want big tires for the street.

BTW. Try searching some a bit harder. Lift/tire questions are ALL OVER the place on this forum. Have the time I find the answers to my questions before I need to ask them.

295/75r16 is probably the most you'll want to run without dropping your bumpstops theoretically. But who knows if you'll ever fully compress one of the OME springs. Type of wheeling and weight of your vehicle will determine. To run 315 or 35's I'd drop your bumpstops 1" or more. To run a bigger tire I'd go with more lift.

Here is a pic of 2" lift with 295's for reference.

I think it really depends on the truck, tires and wheels. I have 315's on OME 850/860 springs, no extra weight and I don't rub. I can stuff them and get a rear wheel off the ground without an issue. I'm running MTRs with about 1/2 the tread left.

I have seen 315 BFG at's on OME 2.5" heavies with bumpers front and rear. Some people on here fit 315's on a stock vehicle. But there are alot of variables and what you want out of the vehicle is a key part of this equation as well.

You will rub 35" tires if you wheel it hard and make no adjustments. First pic shows how much distance is left to the bumpstop when 35's started to rub in the rear wheels on my rig (no issues on the front at all).

Now you could easily do some spacing down of travel (or just drop your bumpstops 1.5" in the rear and lose a bit of up travel) and 35's are a no brainer, and you could fit 37's if you really messed with it and did a bit of trimming.

Second pic shows OME medium on 35's. These are Trxus MT's, which are a bit larger than some 315's, but you will still rub if you wheel it hard.

295's are a perfect size for this lift if you don't want to do anything else to it.

I knew Nay would chime in:D

:meh: Roy was running 39s. Eventually went to 4", but this is with 2.5", i believe. His is the red, mine is the little white one.

I wheel 285/75/16 pretty hard and never rub. I will be going to 315s with 1" body lift. Plus the body lift will help you get a custom exhaust up and over the frame.

There is no way that red cruiser only had a 2.5" lift in those photos and 39's.
33's will work well with no bump stop mods or plastic triming.
35's will work with some bumpstop mods and some plastic trimming nothing major couple passes with the dremel and your done.

315's or 35's if you drop your rear bumpstops 2" and front 1-2" depends on the truck and if you run a leveling packer up front on top of the springs

The red cruiser had bumpstop extensions. He ran those OME heavies and then with 1" spacers. If you drop the rear bumpstop 2" like folks are saying you can easily run 315's with 2.5" lift.

I run skinny 38" tractor tires with about 2.5 up front and 1.5 in the rear with a 1" body lift. I did cut my fenders, but I really didn't have to do it to make it work. These vehicles can clear skinnier 35-37's on 2.5" of lift if you are willing to extend the rear bumpstop 2" and address wheel backspacing. I would say getting rid of the flares is also important.

If you are willing to trim some metal, then 40's seem to be the ceiling because of the clearancing limitations of the rear wheel well. The Artic Truck guys move the rear axle back and it gives them the ability to run 44's.

The fact that we can calmly talk about 37's on 2.5" of lift is a testament to how much space Mr. T gave us in the wheel wells of these vehicles! Go big or go home right? As many have said, 37's are the new 35's so go getchya sum :hillbilly:!

How would one go about spacing down the travel to fit the 35s? Would you not have to drop the bumpstops anyway, seeing as how the main problem is the 35" tire hitting the inner fender? It seems that in theory a 2.5" lift should fit 35" tires with only additional bump stops in the rear? Suspension is not my forte, but I am interested in fitting 35"s on my medium lift as well as the OP.

2" rear bumpstop drops, 1" wheel spacers and run L-shocks in the rear with brake line extensions. You regain most of the rear travel, you just sacrifice a bit of uptravel. Or you could space the stock rear shocks down for a cheaper solution. Just my $0.02.
