I have been trying to get around to doing the axle job for months. I went to order the parts from Marlin because of the great reviews on his axle seals but their kits are on back-order. What parts supplier are you going with? does anybody know if marlins "eco-seal" is his own or are they available elsewhere?

I have always been happy with cruiser outfitters and will probably buy my rebuild kit from him.
On another note, I noticed at lunch that someone hit the passenger side of the truck - probably at Sam's Club yesterday. There is a nice scrape starting at the back edge of the ARB, down the front flare, along the side moulding and the edge of the running board and worst on the rear half of the rear flare. The flare is actually "off" by about a 1/2 inch now and the rear bumper is more crooked than it was before. At least all of the damage was confined to removable pieces.

Kait makes fun of me because I park a mile away from the store. However far away from the busy part of the lot you are subject to some idiot cutting lanes not paying attention.
Will you try and get a video and follow up with a hit and run report?

Negative. I can't see that I would gain anything from the effort. Damage is minor and superficial so I will repair it and move on.

No real progress to report, still have to finish Matt and Keith's sliders, Godwin's roof rack and cargo barrier, Eric's brew bucket stands and then it is on to my sliders and rear bumper...but I did "fix" a nagging problem with the truck this weekend.
I knew that there was a growing paint/rust problem under the hood wind deflector and have been ignoring it for as long as I could. Saturday afternoon while the girls were resting I decided to pull the deflector off and see how bad it was. This is after a lot of sanding on the worst spot:
The more I explored what looked like little bubbles, the more problems I found until I had almost completely uncovered the entire area where the deflector sat on the hood:

Unfortunately, these are not part of my build...but they are officially the last set of sliders I am building for anyone else until I have my truck built. So in a way, they are a part of my build.
I also had Chris order two 4xinnovations kits, one for him and one for me. My thought process was that the kit would cut so much time off that I could do his set and mine in the time it would usually take to do one. However, the kit is designed for a round main tube and would place it under the pinch weld instead of out and above it like I prefer. So in the end it took about the same amount of work, but the end result is nicer than I could build and I have all of those pieces ready to go on my sliders.

I have decided there is no legit plastidip application. I finally got it all peeled off and painted the front of the hood with duplicolor paint for now(it actually matches better than I expected).
