I have an old Willys CJ2A that I am going to freshen up, and I don't want the shiny look, I want the 'old Jeep' look. Does anyone know where I can get a single pass, one part paint that isn't shiny? Going to paint it tan or blue.

Thanks for any help.

Just for future reference the acrylic enamel is a one step with the clear coat mixed, the base coat/ clear coat is a 2 stage paint but you can buy just the clear coat seperate from the base.

You should be careful of using just a standard base coat especially if you are using cheaper stuff. I wanted the same thing but was told a regular base coat won't last a long time without a clear coat to protect it from fading.

I painted my sons car with PPG Omni with a flattener added. You can control the amount of sheen with the amount of hardener. The faster it sets up the shinier it gets.
