I noticed on the tech links when doing the front disc conversion with mini truck parts that you could use the mini truck's master cylinder for disc/drum. On my fj40 I have JT Outfitter's front disc conversion using Monte Carlo parts (the same parts used in rear conversions.) Would using the mini's master cylinder make sense or would something else be a better choice?

I think the surface area of the puck in the Toyota and chevy calipers is roughly the same maybe less on the chevy part.

So here is the original thread...

I bought a booster and MC from a '95 pickup last night for $25. Even better...the SOB bolted right up! The booster is much larger and the MC is a larger diameter.
I'm hoping this will shed some light. I'm thinking that I have two problems- 1. the MC needs to have more volume and 2. I still a problem with the rear lines. Maybe a blockage, I have been getting particles in the fluid when bleeding the brakes.

I think you are fine. The 95 MC will have a 1" bore (if off a 4wd). That is larger than the early mini's which was 13/16". You will probably not have much pedal travel. The larger booster is a bonus.

Your right Jon! It worked problem solved:bounce: What a difference, not only can I stop but the brakes are now touchy:eek:. That extra bit of volume on the MC makes all the difference and the extra boost really helps. No more acting like Fred Flintstone.
