Had a pressure switch leak on my master cylinder and it drained the res while sitting for a couple years. Finally got around to filling and bleeding the system and come across this strange issue.
On fast strokes of the pedal, large bubbles come up in the rear fluid reservoir.
On slow strokes, almost no bubbles in the reservoir but the associated line (rear) has a very small number of fine bubbles come out the port.

The master bleeds fine on the bench, fast or slow strokes, once I clear the trapped air it wont suck anymore in. It's only when I mount it to the booster that it starts to suck air back in.

Short of getting a new MC, any ideas whats going on here? I'm stumped.
