Im at 197k and my passenger side knuckle is just starting to leak alittle. I think its a no brainer to stick with what works best and what was originally made for the truck. Marlins sound like a hit or miss chance for the 80, and most likely a miss. I am very interested however about how well Trail Gear's seals are holding up if anyone has tried them on the 80??

I have had my Marlin Seals in for 25k miles now and no issues.

I'm at a cross roads here. I have both on my bench and from what I've read I'll end up using the oem.

My axles will be replaced, they should be here Tuesday.
Kind of a bummer the Marlin's won't work, they appear to be a better quality seal then the OEM's. Glad this thread is here, I guess.

I've been using marlin seals and have had diff fluid mixing into the knuckles. I've replaced them numerous times and still they leak. I have a ruff stuff housing, longs, and custom cut 300m inner axles. I just ordered a complete rebuild kit and I think I'm gonna stick with the OEM ones. I have been running manual hubs since the get go. I just have not had luck with the mc seals. If anyone has advice... Let me know
