I bought this rebuild kit to fix my leaking manual steer gear box on my 84 4wd pickup from Rock Auto: More Information for EDELMANN 9017 - https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=3859944&cc=1277243&pt=7397&jsn=906

I assumed it was for manual steer gear, but package arrived and it says power steer gear seal kit.

Any help in determining if this is the right kit for manual steer gears? Would prefer not to start taking the gear box apart until I for sure have the right replacement seals. I am not having much luck searching specifically for manual steer rebuild kit.

Thanks!

ive never been inside a manual box, but i would assume the only seals needed are the input and sector shaft seal.
i would assume these parts interchange.
however even if not, seals are specd by size and should be available by size or number at your local parts house.
ive had good luck with Motion industries for random seals
