I have a M416 that i am building, and am thinking about using 1/4 elliptical springs like i did on my 40.
The pro's i think are that they articulate like a banshee, soft as you need them for flex, and the added droop you could get vs other set ups. Obviously still in the thought process, but makes sense to me.
Thoughts or comments welcome from the trailer guru's.

Why do you want the trailer to flex? Soft springs will make the trailer bounce when empty and will impact how it tracks behind you when loaded, especially on washboard. These trailers don't need any flex or articulation because they pivot at the lunette.

Single axle trailers do not articulate because there is no opposing force. IE; front-right, rear-left and as stated by Exiled they pivot on the hitch. IMO a simple leaf spring suspension designed for the weight to be carried will perform more reliably.
