Larry - the tires actually look OK. They are Coopers. The U-bolts look OK but I don't know about the axles, bearings and lights. It has been kept under cover for at least the past 2 years.

It definitely needs to be sandblasted and repainted. The old (think) military paint is coming off. I have all the metal I need to fix any rust problems from the left overs from my Pig.

I'm gonna try to do it...

Flat bed M716

Here's our flatbed before and after we built sides and tailgate for it. The suspension matches early Jeep so parts are easy. Wheel bearings were available. I found tires online.

Sorry for the long delay - I just heard back from the owner. I should be picking up the trailer tomorrow. Once it is in hand I'll post up more pics and a price.

I did look at it one more time. It needs a new bed - but a piece of 16ga will fix that easily.

I just had to take the wife out to dinner so pics will have to wait until tomorrow.

I'll end up replacing a few parts of the bed which are rusted but the else looks OK enough. I'll sandblast and repaint it once I finish the install of my rebuilt 2F in my Pig.

Will be sprung over too.

Parking break works perfect.

Front leg rest thingy retracts perfect.

Here are some pics of my M716. I'm going to use it as-is for awhile besides going through and making sure the taillights work. My Pig has to get back on the road first. After that any work on it will be minimal - money is tight. The most I'll do for awhile is sandblast and raddle can along with some 16 ga sheet for a new bed and I'll repack the wheel bearings also. Tires are good to go as-is.

Oops - sorry for the blurry pics.

Late post on your M716 purchase ...

Here is a picture of my 716 loaded for the trip CMCC'09. Maybe this will give you ideas (good & bad) on how to use/load the trailer as you restore yours. I am happy with mine (except for my poor painting skills)

Well, this trailer is up for sale as I just bought a MUCH better one! I'll start a thread on the new one in a few weeks when I get back from a 2,600 mile road trip to MI in my Pig.
