I had been looking at a used LX 570 for an overland build but now shifting to the LX 600 as an overland / daily driver. I’ve read a lot of positives on AHC on the 570, but almost every comment about it in the 600 is negative. Is it worse than it was on the 570 or is it just that there was no comparison LX model? Is this something Lexus could tune / update?

I’d been so wrapped up in planning for AHC on the 570 I’m struggling not getting on an LX. Looking to do something modest (33-34”)

I would say that there is not enough data for people to hate it. The only downside I can see is it is potentially more Maintenace down the road. The vehicle without AHC is just simpler which some people like. That being said I the idea of AHC. Had it in a 100 series and it was the best riding land cruiser i have owned. Removed it due to a sensor hiccup and because I wanted to simplify my vehicle but it just wasn't the same. I think that it comes down to what your goals are. How long are you going to keep the vehicle, what do you want to do with the vehicle, etc. One thing I always find silly are the people that critique vehicles who do not have the means to buy it. In most cases I don't care what the third owner thinks of the vehicle.

I have both a 570 and a 600 and think the AHC is better on the 600 FWIW. I don't get the AHC hate posts on here. I don't think any of those posters have any experience with AHC on a 600 and are just carrying whatever animosity they have against AHC over here.

I don’t have any experience with the 570 or its AHC but I have a 600 with it and I can say it is an incredible ride and works flawlessly and quite fast. Obviously it’s early to say but I love it. I do plan to keep my car for 300k+ so I guess time will tell. It may eventually crap out at which point replacement or removal will likely be quite expensive

Hah. Two Germantown peeps with 600's on this thread. What are the odds?

I drove both an AHC and a standard suspension lx600 before buying mine. I thought the standard suspension was actually a bit better riding. The AHC vehicle leaned a bit too much when in comfort or comfort +; sport or sport+ was nice and tight for curves, but felt jittery. The standard suspension has a little less ride height (8.7inches ground clearance), but does a very nice overall performance that I preferred. And, it won't have a bunch of warning lights and stuff to mess with it and when I lift it.

So, no hater. Experience with both (and have had AHC on my previous 100 series, and driven several lx570's with AHC), just prefer the standard suspension.
