There's always hope someone (any thoughts, @slee / @cruiseroutfit ) will figure out a way to trick the AHC to stay raised :D

I purchased my vehicle in May, I switched from 285/50/20 to 285/70/17 on my 2013 LX. I looked at 295/70/17 but the 285/70 just rubs at full lock so 295 will require modification of the wheel well to fit, and you only gain 7mm of sidewall.

The 285/70/17 is 4.5% larger than stock diameter and gives you approximately 9.6" of ground clearance at standard height.

Awesome - would you mind posting pics of yours (or linking me to pics)? Your path is almost exactly what I'm thinking of doing, year & wheels/tires. Speaking of tires, which did you go which? Thanks!

Sure, I'll get some pics up soon.

Updated sig, I went with Michelin Defender LTX. This is an evolution of the MS2. Great ride, 13.5/32 inch tread, and E load rated. My experience with Michelin tires is they don't quite meet the treadlife rating (sticky compound) but are excellent tires overall so I've stayed with them.

Here's an offroad review testing the 285/70/17:
