Yup, the LX has a bunch of gizmos and doodads mounted to the outside of the frame rail, making it a lot more complicated to fit sliders compared to the LC.

Looks great! did you install them yourself? And what did you do with the running board lights?
Yes, was an easy install for me. Did it by myself. The "hardest" part was trimming the running boards, which was easily done with a makita oscillating multi-tool.

I took the running board wiring and used solder/heat shrink connectors (heat gun) to connect them to an led strip. Tie wrapped the strip to the bottom of the sliders, and it also works great. Nice and bright.

I'll try and get a pic of it lit up at night.

Edit:

Here it is:

Are you saying the Slee sliders won't hold the weight of the rig if you pivot on a rock or do something similar? Ideally, I need something to use a hi-lift on in a pinch and lean on to overcome an obstacle. I don't plan on hard-core rock crawling, but there is always the unplanned rock or stump scenario to prepare for.

FWIW, here’s a video of me letting the sliders do their thing at Moab. They’re just fine

I have the MetalTech4x4 sliders (with step) for my LX. They are beefy as hell. But a real challenge to get installed.
